what is our sample size of him as a sire of sires/broodmare sire? is it big enough to judge his success yet?

There is not enough information to judge him on.
He started his career out in Maryland. Because of this, most of the colts in his older crops were gelded. If I'm remembering right he also had some bad luck with at least one really nice colt dying young. Odysseus?
Anyway, he only has 2 sons at stud that I can find actual info about, that have foals of racing age.
Malibu Moonshine - who has 0 winners from 2 starters (his first crop is 3yos) he stands in New York.
Randy's Moon - who has 6 winners from 8 starters, 0 SWs (his first crop was born in 2008) and he stands in New Mexico
Lunar Echo - Blood Horse has him listed at stud in South Carolina but it says Year entered stud: Unknown. He doesn't have any Report of Mares bred submitted. So not really sure what is up with this one. He hadn't raced since 2005 and honestly, if his race record is any indication, its not a real loss if he doesn't stand at stud.
Besides those he has:
First year at stud 2013:
Rule by Night
First year at stud 2014:
Freedom Child
Orb
Prospective
Baltimore Bob
Corfu
Heat Shimmer
As a Broodmare sire, he has 132 winners from 192 starters and 13 SWs. Keep in mind though, that his first crop was born in 2001, he moved to Kentucky for the 2004 breeding season. So he really doesn't have many years of being a broodmare sire. So his first couple crops of Kentucky bred fillies might have a few foals at the track.
