for all you breeders out there, when do you prefer to breed a mare back?17-18 days?or 30 days?

30 days (plus or minus)

Most mares go through a foal heat at 8-14 days. Their next regular heat would be approximately 3 weeks later. So it would (usually) not be possible to breed at 17-18 days.
