I recently visited Florida and had a chance to go to Ocala to visit some of my favorite horses that stand at stud down there. I got some pretty amazing shots of these beautiful animals. I also got to visit two year olds in training as well. I figured everyone on this board would enjoy. I can't access my old account on here - I used to post as Rockport Harbor. See many more photos at my Flickr page: https://www.flickr.com/photos/tlphotography7/
Enjoy!

Very nice! I did follow the link to look at the pics. Value Plus is a real throwback to the Arab blood from the foundation sires- just goes to show you how strong it can be. Didn't realize that Vineyard Haven had a big brown spot underneath his head on his neck like that- pretty cool!

Wow, you have taken some really nice pictures, horse and otherwise.
Imperialism is a hoot. He looks like he is so full of himself and just having a ball showing off for you. And I agree with the other comments on Value Plus. He sure is channeling the Arab blood. Our neighbor has a double registered Arab who is almost the same coloring as him. But my neighbors horse is very light boned compared to Value Plus.
Thank you for sharing these wonderful photos!

Thank you all for the compliments. It was just fun being around them! Yes, Value Plus was very, VERY arabian-esque. I didn't realize just how much so until I looked at the photos. He's obviously not as dainty, but man, his "stallion neck" sure looks like an arabian.
As for Vineyard Haven's spot on his throat, that was actually bare skin. I asked what it was from but apparently he's had it since he came to that farm so they weren't sure. He didn't appear to have it when he was racing. Hmm.
And to Calypso, yes, I am a HUGE In This Moment fan! Although oddly, the username was more a play on photography... capturing the moment sort of thing. But coincidentally, yes I love the band.
