I loved Devil's Bag. I wish he would've been more successful at stud, but I look for him in pedigrees.

Also a fan- was fortunate to see him in the flesh at the farm. Definitely not the pet-the-pony type, but had a presence about him. Big fan of the Halo line anyway. And, silly me- just realized that Game on Dude is o/o a Devil His Due mare.

I somehow missed that too! So, he was very much like his sire in the temperament? I am a sucker for most of the Halo line. Sunny's Halo was my first ever Derby pick (my grandma said she'd give me a quarter if my horse beat hers...what a lucky guess, huh?)

I like Devil's Bag in a pedigree because I associate him (like most Halo offspring) with the Intermediate/Classic type distances, so seeing him on the bottom of a pedigree is always a good thing for me!

Yes, he was. Saw him when he was 20, and he just had that look in his eye like-"Don't come any closer if you want your fingers". The groom did warn me about him- and told him that I could tell by looking at him not to come any closer. He stood nicely for the groom for about 20 seconds and had enough. Was still a thrill to see him, even if from a distance and a short amount of time.
