I don't know anything about this evaluation of confirmation, but this looks to me like 'Chrome is a little long in the body. It just looks like shoulder to hip is a little bit out there. Am I just a dumpster?

Apparently Spendthrift opened their shed today. Isnt it a risk to be a bit earlier than the traditonal 14th?

What is risk when you can squeeze in a couple dozen more mares and make some more money.

But also it isnt unusual for sheds to open if a client has a mare that is coming into season a few days before February 14.

I'm thinking they want another week to get more mares to Into Mischief.

They just say Valentine's Day but they all open before then, if the client wants their mare bred. Its a risk with a maiden mare because they don't know what her gestation will be, for mares that have had foals before they tend to have around the same gestation time each year. So a client wouldn't send a mare that tends to foal early to be bred now.

i've said this before and will say it again, i doubt Into Mischief makes it into his 20s if they don't start to limit his books. i think he hasn't had a book smaller than 200 since 2013. and those are just single covers, not taking into account the fact he sometimes has to breed a mare more than 1x.

Their TikTok said he's limited to 175 this year because he's getting older. We'll see what the Mares Bred report says.

i reaaaaaaally doubt that, but hopefully... i mean, i still think 175 is too much for his age, but it's a start.

I'd rather a stallion stay in one place and cover a larger book, than cover a large book, shuttle and cover another book.

How do Into Mischief's books compare to those of Mr. Prospector or Danzig? Or on the worse side of things, Danehill, who I think is what BaroqueAgain1 was referencing with her comment about only making it to age 17.

That's what I get for not stopping to look him up before posting.
Part of the 'my how time flies'....I still think of him as a 'young' stallion.
