I seem to remember some movie (Disney, maybe) about a late, undersized TB colt who ends up being a kick-ass polo pony. If Groupie15 ends up with anything like the acceleration his mom had, he might make a helluva polo pony. And no papers required.

I think the post I saw yesterday said he's 150 lbs now? If he was foaled in March he's still just over a large newborn size weight wise. Certainly something was amiss more serious than his being a few days 'early'.

If he were another breed I'd have suspected missed twins. At 75 lbs he was the weight of one. They'd never fail to see or pinch twins with a mare that valuable though so certainly strange. Handsome little guy nonetheless. Be curious to see how much he makes up size wise in the next year.
I think they said 200lbs now. I'm wondering if he was a dummy foal or that it was a red bag delivery.

On Groupie's foal, I heard there was a placenta issue, but I can't specify what exactly. Is that what a "red bag" delivery means? I have never heard the term.

Wasn't Strike the Gold a red bag foal?

Looks like Get Stormy has passed along his high whites and big ol' blaze. :D
You'll be able to spot that colt wherever he is in a race. ;)

Thanks for all of the gorgeous baby pics. I think the Queens Song filly is my favorite.

But they did name him Irish Pharaoh (spelled correctly).
