I'm not very good at conformation but he has yucky front legs(over at the knee), especially compared to the other Into Mischief that was shown.
yeah, but i guess in general that's something that goes ignored with the Into Mischief's, even because he is very oatk himself... but as other people are pointing out he does have horrible feet.

From Uzbekistan and mainly raced(s) horses in France and UAE. Hasn't bought a horse at an auction since 2019(I only went back so many years and that was the only year he bought horses in France) and they were usually cheap, like under 10k cheap. Also 12 out of 25 of the horses he bought that year are still unnamed and were a variety of ages bought at the Goff's February sale. 2019 Goffs February horses

I wonder if they trimmed his hooves that short because his legs are really bad and they wanted them to look better. And to attain that, they had to remove his hooves to pretty much nubs.

Youch, that sounds painful.

Yea sending an Uncle Mo mare (whose sire is known for throwing crooked offspring) to Into Mischief probably wasn’t the best idea

Uncle Mo colt just went for over $1m. Broodmare sire is War Front, who is turning out to be a useful broodmare sire.

He also bought a horse earlier this session for $100k. Snapping up those Book 1s with low reserves.

not to be that person, but seeing all these high priced yearlings on my Twitter timeline and then having the tweet right below be a racehorse rescue asking for $1k to bail a horse out of a kill pen will never sit right with me.

There should be a rule the buyers have to donate to aftercare or like apart of the money goes towards it

Lanni buys for a lot of Baffert's owners.

G. Watts Humphrey Jr. has been an owner forever. He mainly races fillies(maybe only races fillies) and then adds them to his broodmare band. He never has a ton of starters but G1SW Centre Court was one of his runners.

iirc a % of the sale price goes to aftercare, but it's a small number.

It's a shame more don't go towards it. Especially from six figure sellers

Keeneland and Fasig Tipton both give 0.1% from sales(.05% from the buyer, .05% from the sale company) to the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance, which Keeneland was one of the 3 founders(along with The Jockey Club and the Breeders Cup). Other auction companies also donate, just not sure of their %s. They also get % or just donations from : https://www.thoroughbredaftercare.org/i ... keholders/. I can't type that many people/organizations. Its just every part of the industry. Its really nice that a handful of farms give a % of their stud fees, I'd personally like that number to be bigger but maybe they are donating another way.

The goal of the TAA is to get just a little bit from all the parts of the industry so that it will add up and the funds can then be given to charities. Since being founded in 2012 they've given out almost $30m so its working.

Should be 1% not 0.1%

I had to fix what I typed above cause I said sellers paid part of the donation but its the buyers that do. The sellers pay anything to the TAA.

Yeah, just to add to Humphrey being around forever, he also owns/owned One Caroline, Morticia, Frivolous, Lady Melesi, and current runner Navratilova (who is out of Centre Court). He breeds a lot of nice horses.

Session 1 topper goes to Shadwell which is now ran by Sheikha Hissa who is attending the KEE sales for the first time as the head of Shadwell. I love how she’s continuing Shadwell so strongly.
