Lookin at Lucky stands for $17,500 and while he can sire a nice horse, he isn't one of the leading stallions. Without Accelerate's earnings, he'd go from #9 to around #40 on the leading sire list. None of the others drop that far if you remove their leading earner. They also probably don't want to price him to much over his sire. The #1 factor in his pricing, in my opinion, is that he hit his peak at age 5. Breeders will pay higher stud fees for horses that were precocious at 2 and 3.

That feels like a bargain for one of Galileo's best sons ever.

that's a huge boost for No Nay Never, but he's had a great season, I'm happy to see him so successful, he was fun to follow when he was racing.
I don't understand how Duke of Marmalade and Henrythenavigator didn't get to keep their posts at Coolmore, but Requinto does... unless literally no one is even interested in buying him to stand him in South Africa or Russia.
I was hoping to see US Navy Flag race on as a sprinter, but he's won 3 G1s, and his last few runs haven't been so inspiring.
Hard pass on Gustav Klimt. I guess they want Sioux Nation there as a more affordable Scat Daddy option than No Nay Never and Caravaggio???

Finished 13/14. He's speedy but can't seem to get close to beating the Australians at their game. He also doesn't seem as durable and competitive as, say, Jungle Cat.RugbyGirl wrote: ↑Fri Nov 09, 2018 9:47 pmUS Navy Flag runs today in a G1 in Australia. G3 winner Prospect Park to stand at Harris Farms
More: https://www.schumerbloodstock.com/g3-wi ... ris-farms/Prospect Park, winner of the G3 La Jolla Handicap at Del Mar, has been retired to stand at Harris Farms, Coalinga, California.
The horse has been purchased by PVNC Stables LLC in a deal brokered by Chad Schumer of Schumer Bloodstock.
Prospect Park retires having won four of 18 starts and $539,770 in earnings for trainer Cliff Sise.
A hard-knocking and consistent Graded stakes performer in California who was highly regarded from the outset by connections, the son of Tapit enjoyed his finest moment as the wide-margin winner of the La Jolla Handicap.
...
“He’ll stand his initial season for $2,500, which we believe offers breeders excellent value.”
Pamela and Martin Wygod’s homebred is out of the Bertrando mare Quiet Romance and therefore a half-brother to G1 Santa Anita Oaks winner Silent Sighs and dual G2 winner Proposed.

Get Stormy gets a bump from 5K to 6.5K. He's been getting some nice horses, so it's deserved, IMO.

We haven't seen his foals racing yet.
But he has not been so popular since he entered stud at Shadai in 2016.
And he failed to attract many breeders even with his reduced fee this year..
viewtopic.php?p=193168#p193168
And I have just found out that Spielberg and Deep Brillante would be relocated to Breeders SS.
Eishin Flash and Fenomeno to Lex Stud.
Deep Brillante(JPN) (Deep Impact) 86 (148)
Eishin Flash(JPN) (King's Best) 93 (144)
Fenomeno(JPN) (Stay Gold) 55 (87)
Spielberg(JPN) (Deep Impact) 46 (58)

As for Talismanic, I can't wait for all of the white face flashy babies in 2018.
No guarantee he'll pass that on but we can hope.

Mind Your Biscuits for about $17500 USD. He probably would have struggled for $15k in America. I find him a loss for US breeding and hope Shadai supports him well.

Haven't seen an article for Calumet yet but I saw on BH that English Channel's fee has been raised to $30K.
He got 82 mares this year, not sure how many were Calumet's.
He's had a handful of Grade 1 winners and performers and several other stakes winners, so I think it's warranted and still a bargain, but I have to wonder if his number will rise or drop given the current breeding industry's leanings toward precocious unsound speed.

Yes I hope that the NY-bred will do well in Japan, too.bare it all wrote: ↑Fri Nov 23, 2018 11:30 am Mind Your Biscuits for about $17500 USD. He probably would have struggled for $15k in America. I find him a loss for US breeding and hope Shadai supports him well.
Hopefully he will play the role of either End Sweep / Swept Overboard or South Vigorous in Japan.
He has the speed and Japanese breeders should appreciate it.

My guess is yeah. He only bred 9 mares this year. It's probably better for him.Private Thoughts wrote: ↑Sat Dec 01, 2018 12:20 am Where did Americain go?
