You Bought Her was running yesterday in one of the Graded Stakes at Gulfstream and they announced their plans to go to California Chrome on the telecast, so the connections were saying that while they were hoping for a win, they would still have something exciting to look forward to regardless of the result.
She's a blacktype earning, Graded Stakes placed mare, by Graeme Hall out of a Smart Strike mare.

Golden Horn to cover dam of Jack Hobbs

THE dam of Irish Derby hero Jack Hobbs is to visit the horse who beat her star son at Epsom, Golden Horn, this season.

Swain's Gold, a 16-year-old daughter of Swain, is among a number of high-class mares owned by legendary jockey Willie Carson and his wife Elaine at their Minster Stud in Gloucestershire.

Swain's Gold is the dam of four winners, headed by Jack Hobbs - who signed off an injury-hit season last year with a creditable third to Almanzor in the Champion Stakes - and former smart handicapper Niceofyoutotellme.

She is in foal to Dubawi and this year she will make the return journey to Dalham Hall Stud to be covered by Golden Horn in his second season there.

Elaine Carson explained the decision to send the mare to Jack Hobbs' rival.

"It was a bit of sentiment more than anything," she said. "Golden Horn kept beating Jack Hobbs and he's a nice, good-looking horse. Jack Hobbs was no slouch either and kept with him all the time.

I like the cross, the sentiment part made me grin.
Reminds me a little bit of how people have been joking about Love the Chase going to Pionneerof the Nile and what their respective sons would say.
Though tbf it's not quite the same, the rivalry never existed on the track, only in the minds of fans.

No foal for Frankel's dam again but another Galileo date in store

Juddmonte blue hen Kind is set to visit Galileo this year for a repeat of the mating that gave the world Frankel.

However, the 16-year-old daughter of Danehill has suffered problems with breeding in recent times and a Juddmonte spokesperson confirmed she is not in foal after being covered by Kingman last year.

Kind has now not delivered a foal since Proconsul in 2013.

She slipped a foal that was the result of another cover by Galileo that year and did the same in the following season. Covers by Kingman in 2015 and 2016 have also failed to bear fruit.
