Kate Hunter (who also used to post here) is Paca Paca's communications manager, along with being a great photographer. So she would probably be taking those photos herself and then posting them on FB/twitter.

#14, TF, the horse in a white shadow roll

Also, Smok'n Frolic 2012 (colt by Deep Impact):

Looks like a big colt, 510kg as of Oct 2013.
Thank you! Wow was that a wet track or what. Looked like a pretty tough race first time out but she looked good.

I know she is not an imported mare to Japan, but not sure where to ask this question. Watching the 2005 American Oaks reply on TV this morning and they were showing Cesario. What has become of her? Pedigree Query only shows 2 foals for her, one in 2007 and one in 2010. She sure is a beautiful filly. Thanks for any info.

It's Epiphaneia. He was 2nd in the Japanese 2000 Guineas and the Japanese Derby, then won the Japanese St Leger. He looks set to be one of the top older males this year if he continues improving - in my opinion.

Here is his win in the St Leger (He is #3)

He's a nice looking animal, that's for sure

With Tosen Gale, I think Gale is OK, but the surname attached to every horse owned by Mr Shimakawa is unpopular among many Japanese racing fans.

Epihaneia will start his 4yo season with Osaka Hai (G2,Hanshin, 2000m) on 6 April, taking on horses like Kizuna and Meisho Mambo, and then should go to Sha Tin for QEII Cup (G1).

His 3yo full sister, Rosalind, raced twice, finishing 11th and 9th. His 2yo-half-brother by Harbinger is Claudio: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ntgVQXmpMlk

Cesario 2013 is a colt by King Kamahameha.

Thank you all for the information. Her son sure is a beautiful animal. Looks very much like his mother. She was a very beautiful filly from what I saw on TV.

Glad to see she is passing on her talent and ability.

i think/hope america's getting that way with "kitten" everything. "tiz" everything isn't much better. tapit's get are on their way. but, before this we had "storm" or "cat" in every name, people are just not creative.

I'm not sure why people have a problem with part of a sire's (or dam's) name being included in the offspring's name. It's a pretty old tradition to show heritage in a name, whether you're talking horses, pedigreed cats and dogs, or Norwegians. ;)

Hugin, Street Sense x Aria Pura, is still in training. She had 3 races in the JRA from August to September in 2013. With no win for the races, her registration in the JRA was once canceled and then was moved to the NAR for the dirt racing at Sonoda Racecourse, where she won 3 races (3-2-0 for 5 starts). On record back again to the JRA, she is now waiting for her new challenges there. Incidentally, Munin (AUS), half sisiter to Hugin, will be entered in the 7th Race (1200m dirt) at Hanshin on 23 March.

Basic information on all her foals is seen here:
http://www.jbis.jp/horse/0000904077/broodmare/info/

1) Burning Zeal (2009 colt by Heart's Cry) -- He made his debut at Sapporo Racecourse on 19 Sep 2011 (finished 3rd), had eight races in the JRA, and then was moved to the NAR. His race record was:
http://www.jbis.jp/horse/0001110857/record/all/

His NAR registration was canceled on 29 March 2014.

2) Noscow Opera (2010 filly by Heart's Cry) -- She made her debut at Kyoto (1600m turf) on 12 Jan 2013, and then moved to Kochi Racecourse in the NAR after having had 3 races in the JRA. Her record there has been very good:
http://www.jbis.jp/horse/0001126677/record/

She is still in training there. Her former owner was Ms Yoshida, the wife of Shadsai Farm's representative Teruya Yoshida. Her current owner is another woman.

3) Polyushko Polye (2011 filly by Daiwa Major) -- owned by Teruya Yoshida, and had three races in the JRA. Still in training.
http://www.jbis.jp/horse/0001141778/record/

4) colt by Heart's Cry, who was sold to Mr Yuichi Masuda for about $300K at Select Sale 2013 (yearling session, see below).
http://www.jrha.or.jp/select/2013/089.html

5) 2013 colt by Daiwa Major
6) 2014 ? by Victoire Pisa

MB is owned by Shadai Farm, which seems to be a reason why she has been bred to stallions such as Heart's Cry, Daiwa Major, and Victoire Pisa; they all are stallions bred at Shadai Farm.
