I hope that's not true...I love Tiznow as a sire, and I think his sons are going to be good sires, as well. Tiz Wonderful has been doing well with his first runners, so we could be losing an important stallion.

If that's true, that sucks about Tiz Wonderful. Although, there will be more Tiznow sons to come. And Spendthrift has Tizway, another son of Tiznow, whom was a beast and they seem to be selling well. I absolutely love Tizway, he is a rockstar, hoping they come out running for him!

Instead of spreading rumors, why not go to the source and find out? I hate that.

I called Spendthrift; he is in quarantine right now and is going to Korea.

Sucks.

A new Spendthrift program, Share the Downside?

They must have coughed up a decent pile of cash. He's gotten some decent horses, considering his oldest crop is only 4 this year.

Considering how competitive the stallion business is I'm not surprised Tiz Wonderful is sold to Korea.
He has 308 foals of racing age and only 3% stakes winners.
Plus a glaring problem is he only has 10 weanlings on the ground this year.

A farm can't pay the bills with a stallion at $7,500 stud fee and only 10 weanlings for 2014.

Where are you getting 10 weanlings from? 10 that are being sold at auction?

According to the JC report released earlier today, Tiz Wonderful was bred to 135 mares last year and has 95 live foals this year.

Also, Tiz Wonderful's 308 horses of racing age includes 100 2-year-olds of 2014, many of whom have yet to race. With young stallions, the stakes percentages are always skewed because their upcoming crops make up a large percentage of their total numbers.

Blood Horse stallion register online Equiline Product 501S as of Sept 18th
I thought only having 10 registered foals was very unusual and my first reaction was perhaps a fertility problem.

Like the stakes percentages on young stallions, the equineline report results are skewed early on.

The JC tracks how many Live Foal Reports have been submitted (that's the first step toward registration). Equineline is reporting registered foals. The problem is that most foals of 2014 aren't registered yet.

These are just a few "where are they now" updates:

Circular Quay was sold to stand in Panama.

Andromeda's Hero was sold to stand in Argentina.

Casino Host was sold in 2013 to stand stud in Saudi Arabia. He's so gorgeous:
