Undefeated (14-14-0-0) Mexican Triple Crown winner KUKULKAN with trainer Fausto Gutierrez this morning at @GulfstreamPark . Not only is the son of Point Determined undefeated, his most recent win being here at @GulfstreamPark ...but look at his dark marking! 😍@PegasusWorldCup

That is a really striking marking. I'll be looking for it when he's running tomorrow.
And I can't help but root for a grandson of Point Given, my favorite Big Red Train. 8-)

That's really neat. All the other photos I've seen of Kukulkan only showed his other side. Is that something he could pass on to his foals? (Assuming he goes to stud.)

No, somatic mutations are not hereditary.

Here's a horse of a different color....

FASHION'S TOUCH (Old Fashioned) is a 4yo filly at @fairgroundsnola . Previously trained by Hugh Robertson, she has a solid record of 2 wins and 3 seconds in 9 starts. She was claimed for $5,000 in her most recent start by Eric Heitzmann.

Further in the thread is a link to a vid of Fashion's Touch as a newborn chestnut foal, without any spotting apparent (as obvs it was her foal coat, I assume the spotting appeared as she began to gray out). So cool!

I'll take 10!

Shame she'll be all white eventually.

Yeah, even though it will be brief with this grey girl; it's neato nonetheless. I think it's an added bonus that they can give you a rush just standing still with these rare coat colours and patterns.

Just going to post the link since the photo is watermarked. Kingly (Tapit - Justwhistledixie), full to Mohaymen and 1/2 to New Years Day, has a really neat facial marking.

Its kind of weird, it made me think George Washington, or maybe more specifically a Revolutionary War soldier with a tricorn hat and saber.

tachyon can correct the tweet translation if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's Silk Bom Ba Ye (JPN).
