Exaggerator should stand in BC or Washington- rain!!!Flanders wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 7:21 amI would say that is a non-factor. He was well supported his first few years at stud, he still got over 100 mares in his 4th season. His reason for being sold is, he got 19 mares in 2021 and hasn't sired a single graded stakes winner from 2 crops and I don't think he even had a Graded placed horse. Breeders have been losing money on breeding to him too, his 2021 yearlings averaged 16k on a 25k stud fee. There just isn't room at the big commercial farms for stallions who aren't going to cut it. Most are going to fail and move on, that is how its always been.Missbeholder wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 6:35 amCurious about something. I've never seen this really discussed or opined on before, but is it possible that Exaggerator's obvious proclivity for off tracks could be a factor in his being shipped off to a regional market after only 2 crops to race? Or should something like that not be a concern in the commercial viability of a new stallion?Flanders wrote: ↑Fri Jan 07, 2022 3:40 am Exaggerator to Elite Thoroughbreds in Louisiana.

I've just never seen this brought up before in conversations like this, and I'm wondering what people think.

Very cool. I liked him when he was racing and figured he would be popular with Japanese breeders. Glad to see he is succeeding.tachyon wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 7:38 pm -- from bloodhorse

Yes, there is a nice nick between Storm Cat line and the Sunday Silence line over there. Should help Bricks and Mortar as well.Starine wrote: ↑Sun Jan 09, 2022 8:31 pmVery cool. TDN has a video about Dubawi. Its a good video. I was going to say he is a chonk but they address that and say his love of anything food is a real problem.

I can't believe he is 20 already. It doesn't seem that long ago when he went to stud.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Jan 11, 2022 10:00 am TDN has a video about Dubawi. Its a good video. I was going to say he is a chonk but they address that and say his love of anything food is a real problem.

G2W Nando Parrado will enter stud at the Irish National Stud with G1W Lucky Vega reverse shuttling from Australia. LV did all his running in Ireland, though.

What is that groom holding in his hand, and what is he doing to the horse's muzzle? Shaving whiskers? I thought Coolmore leaves their horses au natural when it comes to chin whiskers.

War Front over Tapit, and the mare, Hightap, is a MSW herself. Can't really get much better pedigree than that. Great addition to California's breeding program.
