The best part of this is that his dam's claim to fame is looking good in a sales ring as well.

To no one’s surprise, Flintshire is on the move to France, Haras De Montaigu. They stand flat and national hunt stallions, with at least one of their stallion serving as a duel purpose as both. I would guess Flintshire would be on the NH side of things

The following were listed as either stallion prospects only or racing/stallion prospects at KeeNov. I selected which ones I found most interesting.

G1W Valid Point (Scat Daddy) sold for $70K to "Stripes Stable for Dona Icha." Haras Dona Icha is a farm in Chile.

MGSP Crowded Trade (More Than Ready) sold for $57K to Triple T. Ranch.

SW Network Effect (Mark Valeski) sold for $20K to "Rancho Santa Rosa." Network Effect is MG1P.

G3W Opry (Declaration of War) sold for $57K to agent Eddie Kenneally.

SW Proven Strategies (Sky Mesa) was RNA for $120K. MGSP.

GSP Three Technique (Mr. Speaker) was RNA for $47K.

G1W Breakpoint (Constitution) sold for $50K to Don Alberto. Breakpoint won a G1 in Chile.

GSPSW Don Juan Kitten (Kitten's Joy) sold for $8K and will stand in Texas.

MSW Flavius (War Front) sold for $230K to an Irish bloodstock agency.

Japan to stand in Germany at Gestut Etzean after his swansong in the Japan Cup. I havent ever heard of the farm but this is one of the best stallion prospects that Germany has had for some time. I really had been wondering where Japan and his brother Mogul would stand once they retire. Even though they are both multiple G1 winners who cost seven figures as yearlings, they are honestly pretty disappointing horses to follow. So inconsistent and not genuine.

Leontes(JPN)(King Kamehameha x Cesario) sired his first group winner, as his 2yo colt Justin Rock(JPN)[o/o Flower Rock(JPN) by Ammirare(JPN)] won the G3 Kyoto Nisai Stakes 2000m turf at Hanshin on Nov 27th 2021.
He is standing at Breeders Stallion Station.

I clicked on the link thinking i’d see a Claiborne type stallion, but he looks to be a perfect weight. I don’t understand that comment at all.

He doesn't have the prettiest neck, but he doesn't look fat to me :(

I think his neck might be causing him to look bigger than he actually is. I wouldn't describe Waiting as lean by any means but I don't see "overweight." I wonder what his current height is. He will be 4 next year.

Anyway, here's a baby pic. There's no juvy pics of him to look back on AFAIK because he was never sold at public auction. The Zayat website no longer exists so I can't look there for updated pics.

ETA: Well dang, the Zayat Stables website is still available via Wayback Machine as far back as mid-2020, but they didn't archive pics.

JAPAN (Galileo/Shastye) will retire to Gestut Etzean in Germany after his run in the...Japan Cup.

I hope he wins his swan song for several reasons.

They'll give him some dumb name, like Nyquist's Brother, for attempting to attract mares/advertising with his name only like Curlin to Mischief.
At least "Curlin to Mischief" is kind of a pun or wordplay.

Have any names been submitted for registration?

Good luck to Japan in Germany (lol). A very nice three year old that was inconsistent as an older horse, but you could still generally count on him to run his race. He was a graded winner or graded placed every year he ran. Definitely "danced every dance." Isn't he the first Galileo for Germany?

This site is great for a breakdown of fees of British and Irish based sires, along with some very interesting commentary. The author has reviewed the stud fees for Coolmore’s Irish based sires and Darley’s Kildangan sires so far; I find it a fascinating read:
