I doubt he'll stand in Kentucky but he should get a chance somewhere. I personally like his pedigree. He and First Samuari are from the same female family.

I think Jeranimo could be a useful breed-to-race sire. I'd take him over Shakin It Up, another recently retired Strub Stakes winner.

Jeranimo won a graded stakes 5 straight years, including a couple of grade 1's on grass. He also won the Strub on all-weather. Best at a mile and a mile and an eighth. His pedigree is relatively open to any mares. Maybe he can keep the Blushing Groom sire line alive! I also love Alydar and Graustark in his female family.

Shakin It Up ran 10 times, had a 10-month gap in his very short career. Won a couple big ones in the Malibu, Strub, and San Vincente and was retired after pulling and being vanned off in the Met Mile. He seemed to be best at 7 furlongs to a mile and a sixteenth. He's by a hot sire. His female family is producing some good racehorses.

Robert LaPenta bought a share in Jeranimo last year, for racing stallion duties...does he still own part of him? In the article below LaPenta was quoted as saying Jeranimo would go to New York or California upon retirement. http://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/ ... n-jeranimo

We don't need your realistic expectations here.

Especially when breeders salivate for the next precocious, fragile, dirt horse with a fashionable pedigree and a four race career over the Jeranimo's of the world.

Statue of Liberty(USA), 2000H. Storm Cat(USA) x Charming Lassie(USA) by Seattle Slew(USA), was represented by his first JRA grade stakes winner, when Active Minoru(JPN)[o/o Piena Amazon(JPN) by Agnes Tachyon(JPN)] won the G3 Hakodate Nisai Stakes 1200m turf at Hakodate in July 19th 2014.

Statue of Liberty(USA) had stood at East Stud in Japan in between 2008 and 2012 before he was sold to Australia. http://www.jbis.jp/horse/0000743908/

He now stands at Eliza Park, Victoria, Aus.

The stallions Special Week(JPN)(1995H. by Sunday Silence) and Grass Wonder(USA)(1995H. by Silver Hawk) made their rare appearances at Hakodate Racecourse to say hello to the racing fans on Saturday. :D :D :D

The 1999 Arima Kinen is always remembered by many Japanese fans as one of the greatest races in the Japanese racing history. With this camera angle (please watch the video below), most of the public must have believed that Special Week nailed his great rival Grass Wonder. But....
That was a great race.
I still get a chill when I hear the roars of the crowd in this video.

Racing Post is doing an interesting series of articles on how Darley shuttles its stallions:

I shudder to think what the insurance premiums must be for that precious cargo.

Not sure what to make of this...
I used to check the Elturf site daily for GR runners, but have not had the time. So, I end up wandering over there to check on his stats, and new runners, etc. Cant find a listing on him in the stud book, cant get stats- and the pic and the Elturf link on SRO has been taken down- only states 2013 info. I did ask the stud in Argentina how he was doing about a month ago- never got a response. Checked JC to see if he possibly came back, but return no return listed. It's like he has been totally erased from Elturf. :(

Still listed as a stallion on the Hara La Quebrada website- but not sure when the last time this was updated.

I kinda figured this would happen, but I like that they have divisions in different regions and can relocate their stallions without selling them to other interests.

SUPER stallion Redoute’s Choice and his sire son Snitzel have created Australian racing history after claiming the top two positions in the 2014 sires premiership.

This is the first time since the inaugural publication of the Australian General Sires’ table for the 1883-84 season that a father and son have finished first and second.

Both sires stand at Arrowfield stud.

Harris Farms lost Thorn Song to laminitis :(
Thorn Song entered stud in 2011 at Harris Farms as property of the farm. He is represented by 29 current two-year-olds in his first crop. Thorn Song has 41 yearlings, he covered 57 mares in 2013 and bred 11 mares in an abbreviated breeding season this year.
