Takara Frolic (JPN) (Manhattan Cafe x Smok'n Frolic) looks just like mom when mom was young. She was the sale topper at the 2013 Chiba Thoroughbred Sale for 2yo's. Hopefully she'll be debuting soon.

Pretty filly. I'd be interested to see a picture of her straight on. Her front legs look turned in, but it's obviously hard to see from the side.ChampionCurlin wrote:Takara Frolic (JPN) (Manhattan Cafe x Smok'n Frolic) looks just like mom when mom was young. Amelie, #4, finished second. Pulling in the backstretch cost her the race.

Perhaps I missed it earlier, but has Persistently's pricey now 2-year-old been named? Or is there any other news about his progress?
Thanks!
Thanks!

The owner of Persistenly's colt is Mr Shimakawa who is famous for his excellent portfolio of well-bred horses. Also well-known with him is that he gives all names of horses the prefix of 'Tosen' ―which is his surname itself pronounced in the Chinese pronunciation ―such as 'Tosen Jordan,' 'Tosen Ra,' and 'Tosen Stardom.' So the colt's name will be something like 'Tosen xxxx.'
Unfortunately, additional information about the 2yo is scarce. This is mainly because the dark bay colt is owned not by a TB club which usually has websites for introducing their horses, but by the individual owner; unlike club horses such as the 2yo out of Ginger Punch, any privately owned horse needs no publicity because it is sufficient for only their owners to know their progress, and so all outsiders can do is just to expect or guess, except for sketchy information from books on the paper-owners game available in May. I'll pay attention to it for you.
(*) Also anyone who wants information about a particular horse, please put it down here.

Shamrocker gave birth to a foal. With the rest of your list, please wait till I can take more time to search for them.

I have to say again that whoever takes photos at Paca Paca does a great job (I am completely addicted to their Facebook page). They must take their camera with them every single time they go out to check on the weanlings/yearlings, because they end up with the most adorable pictures.

It's Kate Hunter, I believe. She's a professional photographer, among other talents.BlindLucky wrote:I have to say again that whoever takes photos at Paca Paca does a great job (I am completely addicted to their Facebook page).
