Lane’s End posted video of her walking today. Still a bit wobbly.

Is she wobbly cuz her legs are so long and she's trying to nose the grass and is that normal? Just wondering what is normal for a foal her size and age (I'm assuming when she's got her head up she would be walking steady?).

To me ( IMHO only) she still looks a bit weak and low energy compared to other foals I have seen running, jumping and playing at the same age. Not sure we are being told the whole story in terms of her health. I wish her and Zenny nothing but the best, and hope she grows and thrives after perhaps a bit of a rough start.

There isn't anything wrong with her filly, she is just trying to do what her mom is doing. Like the foal in this video, who looks older than Z's foal.

I think it's cute when foals try to mimic what their moms are doing and end up chewing on hay in vain

Not commenting on the behavior per se, just that to me she looked a bit thin and weak, laying down a lot, and not as active as other foals I have seen. Of course, this could just be from the photos and videos we were provided. For example, I follow another site on Instagram and the videos of both of their 1-2 day old ( non-TB) foals seem much more vigorous- zooming around running jumping etc. I may be more concerned due to Z’s foaling history. I’m hoping she is fine.

Appreciate all the opinions, just a bit obsessed with hope vs worry as thought the other War Fronts looked special and I think this filly looks just like the little colt that didn't make it. I didn't think they'd post so many pics if there was a serious issue but also don't expect as many updates in the past.

She'll be fine y'all are worrying over nothing. We won't see her on the track so don't get obsessed

My thoughts exactly. When I see a video of her running around with more energy I will feel better.

According to this tweet, Z23 has been named and her name will not contain a Z like her other foals.

Thanks - wonder when they will reveal. More laying down photos. I know foals sleep alot but wish they would show some of her being more active.

Hi: haven't been here ---that is, logged in for many years. My concern and why I got back on now is this..........most recent picture of Zenyatta's baby lying on right side in stall>>>what is going on with her left side lower abdomen area? Is it just gnarly hair coat or a problem of some sort? I hope all is well with both of them and even accepted and was grateful of course for photos of the little one even though not moving around much as just-- it is what it is... BUT of course being an old lady I do worry probably more than I should. Oh well.........

Probably just laid in poop. If it was anything of concern, they wouldn't be at the farm, they'd be at a clinic and they wouldn't be allowing visitors to see them and take pictures.
