I think I vaguely remember that, but I never really notice it myself (my loss!). I do remember liking how he seemed on the track, sort of a little rocket. But retirement at Winstar really suits him!mariasmon wrote:Sidney's Candy's good looks have been widely noted since his racing career. Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!

Gemologist, Bellamy Road, and Tiznow are some handsome studs! Winstar looks like they take great care of their stallions.

I met Bellamy Road several years ago when he was at Hurricane Hall--he was the stallion they brought out for the tourists to see and even pose with. I thought at the time he was gorgeous and obviously pretty good-natured.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I can't even "nit pic" any of the Winstar pictures. Those stallions look fantastic! Hard to pick favorites, but for the young stallions I like Overanalyze and Street Hero.

With all the fabulous stallions in Japan, if I had a top class mare, I think I would ship her there, board her and breed her several years in a row to some of those gorgeous and talented stallions, and send the foals home as yearlings. That is if I had a mare who was worth the expense and of course had the cash to pay for the expense of shipping, boarding, breeding, etc. It's a veritable treasure trove of bloodstock.

I think that's because their heads look big for their bodies in some photos.
And Orfevre, as much as I loved him as a racehorse, DOES a honkin' big head. Didn't slow him down, obviously.

He almost looks like a Standardbred with that slight Roman Nose- and I do like how he is put together, big ole head or not.

That picture of Novellist...the first thing I thought was "OMG he looks like a Shetland!". The angle looks very odd in that picture; like someone was on a step stool looking down on him or something.

His stupid head is far and away my favorite stupid head. Beyond that clunker, he's a really nice looking animal. I *love* Dude, and half of it comes down to that silly block of a face.islandgirl45 wrote:BaroqueAgain1 wrote:
