For me, of course I love all Indy and Slew horses, but Honor Code is Indy’s last big son, so that’s why I follow his offspring so intensely. In the last year or so, Bernie and Malibu Moon have passed, so I was hoping HC could take the torch from them. I follow HC intensely - most of these were disappointing or poor racehorses. I’m surprised Faudah could get to Candy Ride
Honor Hop was a turf marathoner - not familiar with either sire

I Like that many of these were bred to speedy sires...HC badly needs that infusion.
I’m not sure how Maxfield will do as a sire, but I like the choice for Roadrunner - Street Sense does brilliantly with Bernardini, so why breed him to a son of Indy?

Re: Faudah, her big selling point is definitely her pedigree. Her own dam is a half sister to multiple stakes produces, including the dams of Frost Giant, Pacific Ocean, Sea Canter, Oregon Lady, etc... all graded stakes winners. As far as the fillies go, a fancy pedigree will usually guarantee them a few nice dates in the breeding shed.
Re: Honor Hop, I'm not sure which stallion she is actually i/f to but I'm hoping it's Yoshida! Especially if she was a turf filly, I think that will be a very nice match for her. WinStar purchased Yoshida as a yearling from a Japanese sale and he won graded stakes at 2 and 3, including the G1 Old Forester and the G1 Woodward in 2018... turf and dirt! He didn't win a race in 2019 but he did run second in that year's Whitney Stakes. Very nice pedigree as well; his dam, Hilda's Passion, won the G1 Ballerina in 2011 and was then actually purchased by Katsumi Yoshida (thus the name). Anyway, sorry for geeking out, but I really enjoyed following Yoshida's career, and I wish more US farms would purchase from Japanese sales!
I also like that several of these mares were bred to speedy stallions. I think these crosses will help Honor Code get off to a good start as a broodmare sire!
If you want to go ahead and start following some of those offspring, I know that Celtic Honor, Sentimental, and Quiet Talk all have yearlings that will be juveniles next year! They're entered in the Keeneland September Sale
I do think he could be a terrific BMS - Indy is one, and Bernardini is brilliant. However, I’m assuming the quality of his books has diminished - and since he was only bred to 29 (I’m still shocked) mares in 2021, he’s really going to be up against it in a few years
