As just a fan of racing, not someone who works around horses, I have a question about these long legged babies.
Does long legs mean the foal will eventually be on the taller side as an adult?

My understanding is that when is foal is born, they have 75% of their total leg length. Most of them look like they have legs for days(at least to me), because of the proportions of the body. Maybe some of the breeders can put in more in perspective with your question in regards to being taller as adults.

The filly is 4 days old. 174 pounds and 11 hands. Mom had a tough time with delivery but is doing fine. Baby is on a nursemare

First foal by Civil War(JPN)(War Emblem) arrived at Seishindai Bokujo (Farm) on March 4th 2016 -- a filly o/o Hashiru Morgan(JPN) by Agnes Tachyon(JPN) !!
His 3rd dam Only Royale(IRE) is a highweighted, multiple G1 winner in Europe.
