I mean I understand why they wanted to snatch up another son of Into Mischief with Goldencents doing well. Still tho a G2 winning 2yo with only 4 lifetime starts before injury...hard pass

I'm disappointed that Omaha Beach is going to retire :( I wish horses would stick around as older horses. Also, they now stand 31 stallions (including these 5)

If that's the big announcement from Spendthrift, color me underwhelmed. If they're looking to build an empire via the Into Mischief line, I'd be more interested in Mr. Money than Maximus Mischief, personally. Maybe they think a son of Into Mischief is an easier sell than a son of Goldencents, but Mr. Money still has a chance to pad his resume.

Me too. He is really good runner and should enjoy him longer on the track. :(

It’s to the point where I feel gutted whenever Spendthrift buys a nice 3YO, because I know they won’t allow them to race another season.

Omaha Beach has all the potential in the world. It’s a shame that he completely missed the middle half of this season and after the Pegasus (?) will be rushed off to stud. The worse part is it doesn’t sound like they’re satisfied with 31 stallions and will likely snatch up another could-be-great 3YO next year, too.

Sidenote, but I don’t think anyone will be banging down their doors for Maximus Mischief. IMO, I'm surprised they didn’t secure McKinzie. Makes me wonder if they tried and a deal couldn’t be made, or maybe they plan on racing him next year as well?

I see Maximus Mischief being there no longer than 2 years.

I'm sure there were many factors that went into his loving to Louisiana (and it's probably better for him) but if Tom's Ready was only at Spendthrift KY for a year before shipping out then Maximus Mischief can't stay that long.

Creative Cause and Mark Valeski hanging out at Airdrie. Creative Cause looks like he could star in a live-action The Last Unicorn (even though he's a manly man).

Recent photo of 22 year old Include at Aidrie. According to ACP Include is the last remaining major representative of the Domino male line, which is sad.

For some reason it makes me happy to see that the leading second crop sires are Goldcents, Noble Mission and Cairo Prince
A filly named Ruffian...

Eine Stute namens Danedream...

Une pouliche se nommant Trêve...

Kincsem nevű kanca...

And a Queen named Beholder

And the crazy thing is that the Domino line used to be the American speed/brilliance line. Hard to think of Include in that capacity.
Also crazy that he only has one strain of Northern Dancer and none of Mr. Prospector or Bold Ruler.

I think a lot of the Pegram-owned horses end up at Hill N Dale, well at least the ones that rate a chance to start in Kentucky. But also, kudos to Pegram et al as most of his stick around the races for more than a cup of coffee.

Besides Include's brother Encaustic in NY and his son Redeemed in MD, another tiny thread of the Domino line survives due to color breeders. Blue Eyed Streaker (Bimelech/Black Toney) has a few unraced/barely raced sons and grandsons standing as "sporthorse" stallions: Koda Chrome, Caught Streakin, De Lux Design, among others.

Eskendereya(USA) sired his first JRA winner, when his 2yo filly Wien Sonata(JPN)[o/o Sweet Fizz(JPN) by Kurofune(USA)] won on debut going 1200m dirt Newcomer at Nakayama on Sep 14th 2019.

Does the Youth line survive in South America? He was exported there is the 80s. I have no idea if he had any success there though.

In regards to Youth, I imagine the records on PQ and so on are probably incomplete.

He did sire Teenoso who was a G1 winner in Europe but considered a "disappointment at stud."

Redeemed seems to be doing quite well in his regional market so hopefully he can get a son to win big.

The article is inaccurate, though. He only stood one season at Buck Pond, not two.

I was looking at the leading 2nd year stallions. The big surprise to me is the stallion with the most SWs this year. The leader is, Souper Speedy, who has 5 SWs from 31 runners and a 2.61 AEI. That is impressive. He stands in Canada for CAN$4,000 and is a 1/2 brother to Brilliant Speed.
