i'm working on my huge sheet as mariasmon suggested — don't know when i'll finish as i have a VERY pregnant feral cat basically living in my backyard rent free, which likely means i'll have a few kittens roaming around soon. will likely be time consuming, apart from me being at the barn 9-5 almost every day

but i promise i'll finish it sooner than later. not like all farms have their reports out anyways *wink wink*

i've named her Lena. a very pretty girl with what, maybe 3 kittens inside of her? if not more?

Pretty girl. Thank you for feeding her. Any possibility you could get her inside and safe? Especially if she's about to have kittens? I'm not sure where you live, but many areas just aren't safe for outdoor cats.

here it's pretty much safe, especially my neighborhood where many people help me feed them. i'm leaving the kennel (that is no longer used) open with water, a bed and a few blankets and bedsheets for her. i just don't leave food out because the possums eat it instead

i saw her sleeping in the kennel last night so it seems she already knows that's where she can go. i have a cat inside that isn't friendly towards other cats so i fear she'd possibly hurt her and she doesn't seem to want to come inside either. we're developing a friendship fast tho as today she came when i called (not touch range, but pretty close) which she wasn't doing like 2 days ago. i hope she knows she'll be safe here!!

OMG I love calicos! I have a tortoiseshell. Maybe you'll get a good chance to snag a kitten when they start weaning. They'll warm up to domestication quickly if they're babies.

i have a calico!! sweetest girl on earth to humans, not so much to other cats. if i'm right on who the father is (which i likely am, because there aren't other cats nearby), he's a beautiful tuxedo. doesn't have the greatest temperament however, which is why i struggle to be able to get him snipped

My calico is a bit shy around other cats, but part of me thinks it's because all our other cats are boys. Though we do have a boy that is basically a lapdog and doesn't understand the definition of "stranger." He looks so confused when he tries to be affectionate and she hisses at him. She is one of the most intelligent cats I've been around as well.

Her toxic trait however is wanting to sit on the table, especially if we're using it for something important.

kiara will ALWAYS sit on your laptop when you're trying to use it. always.

the tuxedo cat doesn't really know how to be respectful, which results in her constantly beating the living crap out of him when she wants to hang in the garden and he keeps chasing her. my neighbors also thanked me for adopting her because she was bullying their senior cat. i think it's a calico thing

Could you somehow trap her and have her spayed and vaccinated after the kittens are weaned?

IDK. I don't think his stud fee is that high. He's not fashionable, but other unfashionable stallions like Midshipman continue to get plenty of mares every year because they get runners.
