And here is the next Frankel baby! Midday foaled a filly on Saturday! They released a short video of the birth:

adding the news link:

The filly, who weighed in at 132lbs, is very highly rated by Stud Manager Simon Mockridge, whose report from the foaling reads: “Attractive, quality filly. Has size and scope. Deep girthed, broad hips, strong quartered. Good bone. Strong hind leg. Very good foal.”
Midday will visit Frankel again this year.

Looks like she is practicing already, although only the males perform for the public in the arena. Very cute.mariasmon wrote:Check out Piber Stud's first foal of 2014, a filly by Neapolitano Madera. Piber breeds the Lipizzaners for the Spanish Riding School. The sire of this filly is among the active performers at the shows in Vienna.

Saw that a few months back, it was very interesting.BaroqueAgain1 wrote:For those of you interested in the Lipizzans, PBS had a 1-hr. Nature special that focused on the breed...their history, the founding of the Royal Stud, and the standards demanded of both the stallions and mares to continue the breed. The footage of the mares and the foals in the huge mare barn, all of them sharing this huge, straw-filled hall, was sweet, but the videos of the older colts running loose in the alpine meadows was spectacular.
They pretty much live a natural life until they start their training at around three. And the young mares are given the same dressage training as the colts...even if they never perform for the public, they are still judged on their athleticism and intelligence. Only the best become the Stud's broodmares.
You meet some of the stallions and get to watch some training sessions and performances. Cool horses, prized not only for their athletic ability, but even more for their strength of character.

Nice looking foal. And a big boy from the looks of it.
