Monarch of Egypt was the first starter and winner for American Pharoah when he won a maiden at Dundalk (Edit: Sorry, Naas not Dundalk) on Saturday

Class-wise, are Naas and Dundalk similar?

I’m pretty sure they are very similar class wise. Either way with 2yos racing this early it’ll all be the same sort of quality all around the country I would think.

I know this is off topic kind of, but I thought it was an interesting discussion about racing at Naas and Dundalk. Similar issues all over.

I’m becoming increasingly frustrated by the lack of opportunities for my horses and decided to put my thoughts in writing. Please have a read.

Me too! I hope he gets a chance to pass on that speed and grit. He’s been a fun one to follow.

Bloodhorse Daily has a nice article about Iqbaal, Wesley Ward's private stallion with a 77% win from start rate. Ward moved his private farm from Ocala to Lexington, just outside of Keeneland. Article doesn't mention him, but Hootenanny moved from Buck Pond to Ward's Ranch.

Iqbaal is pastured behind the quarantine barn, where he has a view of the racetrack and watches races all day. Not really news per se but I thought it was interesting, especially about Iqbaal getting to watch the races.

Everyone’s favorite $1,000 WV stallion Fiber Sonde gets another nice horse with CT Classic winner Runnin’toluvya.

Along with Late Night Pow Wow that makes two graded-stakes winners for him so far this year, plus the top WV-bred 3yo Vic's Pick. With the nice purses on offer for WV-breds and how much he seems to upgrade the mares he's been getting, Fiber Sonde has to be the best value in the country.

Fiber Sonde could be Unbridled’s Song’s best son at stud!!!
Although it doesn’t hurt to be out of the same mare who produced Speightstown.

He still has a way to go before he catches up to Midshipman.
