2025 Fees

That article explains it well. To simplify even more, if you take 1 as being the average earnings for the foal crop each year, the AEI is the average that a stallions foals has earned. So under 1 or over 1 gives an idea how a stallions foals are doing. The CI is the earnings of the other foals of mares bred to that stallion, so it shows how more or less the stallion has stacked up against the mares' other foals by other stallions. I think I read somewhere that only 1/3 or less of all stallions actually improve their mares over the mare's other foals, ie. that the AEI is higher than the CI. Authentics numbers now show how good his first book of mares was, and how, up to this point, he's definitely underperforming. But again, its way to early to even look at those numbers....I just couldnt help peeking.

As a son of Dynaformer the steeplechase people like him, and he gets some steeplechase mares (there aren't many of those in the US but they do exist) every year. He's got several winners over fences.othybat_99 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 1:33 pmI think he has, I honestly doubt Spendthrift will boot him.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 1:30 pmThanks! I never knew he brought in any steeplechase horses, thanks for that. A major steeplechase sire I see that's American is Flintshire mostly.Miss Woodford wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 5:27 pmAs a son of Dynaformer the steeplechase people like him, and he gets some steeplechase mares (there aren't many of those in the US but they do exist) every year. This Spendthrift hasn't had any reach pensioning age. B. Wayne Hughes bought the farm in mid-2004.stelladaniella wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 1:16 pmAkitaperson wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 12:05 pmCoal Front is gonestelladaniella wrote: ↑Wed Oct 16, 2024 10:44 am Did anyone from spendthrift move? Surprised both Vino Rosso and Authentic took that big of a hit to their fees. Didn’t Vino Rosso just have two runners in the bc and one on the Derby trail?
Basin, Temple City both sitting at 5k has to mean this is their last season before they get the boot?
Temple City and Basin both covered less then 50 mares in 2024 so I am betting them get the boot sometime soon, despite Temple being older.
How old is Temple City?
Do Spendthrift keep their pensioned stallions? I don’t recall.
Waiting for Coolmore, LE and Three Chimneys. I wonder if Justify or Gun Runner will top Into Mischief?

Instilled Regard sired a G2 winner from only 14 runners, so I'd consider the bump justifiable. Instagrand has 11 winners and a couple stakes placed runners, but he's only #10 on the freshman board so it's primarily the Into Mischief effect lmao

Did anyone leave Mill Ridge this year? Just seems like such a tiny roster.

They are another good one. Have never stood many, Johar who died in a paddock accident in 2014 or 15, might have been their last stallion before they got Oscar Performance. Dont have a computer atm and can only think of a few old stallions, maybe was a few more. The most I can think of at a time was 5. Anees, Diesis, Commendable, Gone West, Valiant Nature, and Johar came later. They also limit their stallions books, dont shuttle, dont breed on SH time. It's why I'm happy Casa Creed is going there.Akitaperson wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 3:25 pm

Anymore to me it seems if a horses races 7 or less times it's worthy of thw shed and is said to have "done enough" on the track. Loggins, Heartland and Corniche for example are all stallions who retired unsound who barely raced. Yet because they have balls they are in the shed.
