hahaha I actually waited hoping you'd do the work.
Early Voting is really weird to me. I guess we'll see (hopefully in the next couple days the RMB from the Jockey Club) that maybe he wasn't popular? I mean he wouldn't be the first stallion they sold on before they had foals on the ground but this isn't something that happens often....

they released it right as i was making dinner
i really struggle to see him not being popular honestly... could it perhaps have been fertility problems, tho? Twitter seems shocked as well... i'm curious god damn it!!

I feel like if his fertility was so bad he had to be removed, that an insurance company would have been involved. Then there would have been a statement. I'm pretty sure they require fertility testing before a stallion even goes to stud. The $75 million or whatever the insurance company lost when Cigar was infertile changed their policies.
I agree about being surprised if he wasn't popular.

yeah, fair point... and tbh i guess that info would have leaked as early as humanely possible. i think he might have been snatched by another big farm in Kentucky or sent to Japan. but either way, it's so weird to me that they would even sell him in the first place. i will be really surprised if he bred less than 175 mares.

they have so many stallions i didn't even bother looking, tbh. and the article i was checking for the 2023 fees wasn't in alphabetical order so i just had to keep skipping around so i didn't notice who was gone i think i called Dolphus in that other thread. slightly surprised about Alternation.Flanders wrote: ↑Tue Oct 17, 2023 6:42 pmGone from 2023:brunanas wrote: ↑Fri Oct 13, 2023 6:38 pm Stallion: 2024 Fee (2023 Fee)

Yeah I was just noting who was gone from the Darby Dan roster. I checked the one site to see if any other stallions that were MIA on a roster had a farm listed and I saw those 2 (no farms yet).
As for Lookin At Lucky, he is already in Chile for the covering season, they probably just don't send him back. Kind of makes sense right? Like brunanas said, he is a much better stallion in Chile. Plus he is going to be 17 so shuttling back and forth might start to be an issue.

I hate to ask but noticed Curlin's eye pupils has white/cloudy sheen when I visited today. Also noticed he didnt 'see' a treat coming until it was next to his nose. Hope it doesnt mean he is losing sight in his eyes.
Beside that, he looked great!
