Who is her buddy- I'm thinking that is not her foal- seems they gave her a job :D
The half bred foal is Russel who lost her mum. 'Putting a retired broodmare on public display at the park is very rare, and yet racing fans unexpectedly responded to the announcement' on their Facebook, visiting the park. I hope for more retired broodmares to be displayed.

She shares the stable with other retired racehorses like Delta Blues.

I agree, I think the mares have just as many fans as the stallions and people would love to be able to see them once their breeding days are behind them.

The park she is in looks really nice. Like that she has trees for shade in her paddock.

Fantastic! To bad under stallion interests, Curlin, they say Palace Malice won the Preakness.

"...they say Palace Malice won the Preakness."

OMG...that's a WTF sort of mistake. How could whomever composed the stallion stats not know that Palace Malice won the Belmont? Unless the site content was farmed out to a non-racing individual?
Mega-oops. :o

That is one nice web page on the Stonestreet mares. Sometimes they don't get enough credit for all they do in racing once they are on the farms. It's great to read up on those mares and the pictures. Thanks Stonestreet!

Very nice revamp of Stonestreet's webpage. I'm pleased to see this kind of information coming from a broodmare farm.

Fantastic job- maybe others will follow suit. Perhaps Winstar- I have fallen in love with certain mares while watching the cams.

I'll say! Jeez, the farms keep them locked away in a proverbial tower. So happy to see this. Maybe the rest will follow suit.

Surprisingly, he still had all his fingers at Del Mar yesterday. She must have mellowed some. :D

Why? Was she known to be a nasty girl at the track?

Yes! And, as I discovered at the sale, very territorial about her stall. Like, lunging at the bars, teeth bared and ears pinned hostile. Although it's not entirely unusual for them to be territorial about their stalls.

Yes, I have to agree, some I worked with were worse than the boys.

Maybe because she is out of her stall she is a bit nicer, and not in a sales atmosphere, which maybe stressed her out.
