Australia may be the perfect fit for Artie. IIRC, his offspring have done well there.
He seems to be an El Prado son who doesn't sire winners on both grass and dirt, so taking his act on the road to an all-turf, all-the-time country seems smart.
And it's not South Korea. Yay for that. ;) :P

Barney Roy, standing at Darley UK, has proved to be subfertile. Once he is healed from the injury that forced his retirement last year, he could return to training.

That's a bummer. I'm confident they'll make the right decision for him. Darley has a wonderful after-care program and often tweet updates about their retirees.

Will Take Charge Gets First Winner in Tijori

I liked him as a runner and I think he could be an even better stallion than he was a racehorse. I'm excited about his offspring; I heard a lot of good things about them at the sales last year.

I am super excited to see his first winner. She is gorgeous, almost looks like palomino coloring. Beautiful filly! Congrats. :)

From Facebook. They misspelled his name. It's Cosmonaut, who I think was pensioned from stud duty in 2016. What a beauty!

Old Friends at Cabin Creek

Multiple graded stakes winner and millionaire Cosomonaut was pensioned to Old Friends at Cabin Creek Farm today. He was trained by Phil Serpe and raced by Flying Zee stable. Many of the volunteers were there to greet him mints in hand.

Six Pack Gal First Winner for Boisterous
https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing ... boisterous

I'm tickled that Boisterous, who did his best running on turf going long and as an older horse, has an early juvenile winner sprinting on the main track.

Mind Your Biscuits will be getting his passport stamped for Japan when his racing career is over.
https://www.paulickreport.com/news/bloo ... ng-career/
'Biscuits is following champion sprinter Drefong, who was also purchased last fall by Shadai. It would appear that Japan breeder wants to introduce more speed into his racehorses. They're known as stayers, but maybe Shadai wants to try that traditional 'speed over stamina' formula with their next generation.

It's working crazy well with Lord Kanaloa's first crop. One of the things I remember the Japanese breeders commenting was how Sunday Silence injected their horses with tremendous turn of foot. My guess is they are looking for a reliable outcross that will provide the same.

Our loss is Japan’s gain. I figured a N.Y. based Farm would want biscuits

You're very welcome! I'm sure tachyon would have posted it if I hadn't, LOL... There was a nice glimpse of Drefong and I was interested in the boots/wraps Deep Impact was wearing, I wasn't sure if they were protective or like kinesio tape, to help support his knees.

I thought that that was a good deal for Shadai.
World-class sprinter Lord Kanaloa's flying start as a sire emphasizes the importance of speed influence even in Japan, while Sunday Silence-line mares are always ready to provide stamina from the bottom.
Mind Your Biscuits is going to be the first Silver Deputy-line stallion to stand at stud in Japan and I must say Shadai has a good eye.
I suspect that both Drefong and Mind Your Buiscuits will become popular stallions.
