What a cute picture. California Chrome looks downright gleeful, similar to look (and view) I got from the mare I had fallen off after she slipped in the rain and mud (little rascal was satisfied I was okay as was she). Haras Sumaya is a beautiful place and Chrome looks great. Thanks for posting.Ridan_Remembered wrote:Ok, so this is an unusual head shot, but a lot of fun and a brilliant photograph. It's California Chrome getting a bath at Haras Sumaya:
Chrome has been a superstar in Chile. Here is a link to the article from which that funny photo came: https://racingdudes.com/california-chro ... from-home/

Chrome has always been quite the character and a sweet guy for a stallion. I swear he's smiling in that photo.

Clearly he's proud of Cheval Grand's win in the Japan Cup! Such a silly face.tachyon wrote:Heart's Cry(JPN) (Sunday Silence)

Note the nice, even teeth? Shadai clearly has a good vet 'floating' their horses' teeth.

Love that photo of Heart's Cry. I share his joy and sense of humor.
It's wonderful to see the personality of these stallions.

Another non-traditional head shot of Chrome...in this one he's looking out of his trailer with his typical curiosity and saying goodbye to the Haras Sumaya folks while calmly munching hay. The photo comes from the Haras Sumaya twitter feed.

Do not get in a staring contest with Dortmund. You will lose. New Maryland stallion looks good, though snow is new experience.

At Bonita Farm, they call Kobe’s Back “The White Mamba.” Need to get @kobebryant a broodmare.

Bourbon Courage’s side-eye game is strong.

Do they call Kobe's Back "The White Mamba" because he gets so much air time? Or because he's as quick to strike as a mamba?

I like Dortmund and wish him well. Perhaps he will become a strong regional sire in Maryland.

I knew a Haflinger stallion who was 'above average' and needed assistance at times because of this.

Giacomo is very noble-looking in his middle age. Such a long, elegant neck and handsome head. <3

Something...I don't know, peaceful? relaxing?...about a gray horse in a snowy landscape. So I really love the photo of Gold Ship.

I agree - I think one of my favorite photos of all time is Barbara Livingston's pic of Silver Charm galloping in the snow of his paddock.Ridan_Remembered wrote:Something...I don't know, peaceful? relaxing?...about a gray horse in a snowy landscape.
