#0814 Authentic × Candy Fortune
(dam of G1w Hog Creek Hustle) is another one that might have not vetted well. not very pretty — a bit swan necked and over at the knee — but with his price of $100,000 i believe he is one of the shortest-priced yearlings by his sire. even with his not so desirable looks, i think this is still low for a ½ brother to a G1W and by a really sought after first crop sire.
He has horrendous looking legs. Even his back legs look bad. But don't worry that horse isn't going to hold cheapest Authentic for that long. He got some weird/bad looking ones in the later days of the sale.
Like this one who looks on the way to having DSLD.
Now this one, idk is the horse standing weird or is his one back leg so crooked that you can see his entire heel???

I didn't even think about looking at that time was just looking at pics. But yes there is. I think it looks weird but its so hard to tell... I'm downloading an update to a program and the video keeps buffering, going lower quality.

Also want to add, I'm not crapping on Authentic, never know what you are going to get from a breeding. And plenty of other stallions probably have weird looking yearlings, I just looked at his.

he did get a $350k yearling later in the session
Yay, thank you!
This boy is kind of awkward and doesn’t look like HAP, which many of his offspring do, but you never know ...I love him already, and I hope he does well !
$375k, actually. she's quite pretty. her granddam is a ½ to Dream Rush and you know where that branch leads to
Oops, lol
Katherine is the dam of Rhyme Scheme, who won the Saratoga Special. She’s owned by CRK, HAP’s owners, and named after their daughter...lovely pedigree and filly

I love them, thank you! I tried checking the catalogue for photos and videos, but didn’t find any
Yeah. I don’t think he got an especially good book, so I think whatever success he has will have to be on the strength of his offspring as athletes

in the catalogue there's a option to filter horses that have photos. unfortunately a lot of Honor A. P.'s (or horses from later sessions for that matter) don't.

They are near the Hip # in the catalog if the horse has any. There are 3 icons, one is photo, one is video and one is update.

It's the photo cropping. There have been a few others cropped like that that also look huge. They just take up the whole picture.
But even more than that, he looks sturdy, big boned, and mature.

this one sold for $180k...? sure it's not a LOT, but still wild. his leg does look extremely off in the ring.
