Given the fact the deal wasn't announced by Irish National Stud until the third week of January, I can't imagine he did very well. Calumet Farm has been sending Irish trainerswale1984 wrote:Anyone know what mares Americain got over in Ireland?
Delmot Weld a increasing number of two year olds...so the farm seems intent on having a presence in Europe. I would suspect they plan on supporting Americain over there
as well. I think next year will be a better measure of his popularity and support. Americain has had two full books in Australia.

I know the Australians love him. I saw one of his yearlings on Kerry Thomas' facebook page and was very impressed at the conformation, especially in the front. Just want to see him do well at stud. Wishing I had a mare or two to send to him!

I went and visited Gainesway a couple months ago and was able to see Birdstone, Tapit, and Tapir breed. Tapit is a cool horse in his stall. He's completely calm and just stands there lol, but in the shed now that is a different story. They call him an a$$hole in the shed because he just gets too into his job!

Regarding all the mares who went to Dubawi this year...it's rather interesting that mares (like Danedream) who have had foals by Frankel are going to Dubawi instead of returning to the Galileo horse.
