This is so "kind of" off topic but I sure hope Zenyatta goes back to Tapit. Z13 is beautiful. http://www.zenyatta.com/news/happy-birthdays

It sounds like that Dabirsim(FR) is Germany's busiest stallion this season.

Can someone here confirm it?

130 mares for Dabirsim sounds like a good book for him. I have no accurate numbers yet, but I'd guess that Maxios will get a similar amount of mares, if not more. A lot of German quality mares of course carry Monsun's blood, so they can't be sent to Maxios, but by the end of February he already had more than 100 mares booked, says Fährhof Stud. He used to be owned by the Niarchos family, and when Novellist went to Japan, a group of German breeders/studs came to the conclusion that another classy new son of the great Monsun is urgently needed in Germany to keep his bloodline alive. So several studs bought a share of Maxios and are supporting him with some of their best mares this year. Also, the Niarchos family sent an impressive lot of mares to Fährhof Stud, they even bought some new mares to have them covered by Maxios, for example the gr II winner Fiesolana (1,2 mio. €), or the gr I winner Gilt Edge Girl (550.000 €).

Here's an (incomplete) list of mares in Maxios' 2014 book:

Fährhof Stud (where Maxios stands):

Castilla (1998) b by Spectrum – Coryana (Sassafras)

Champaka (1997) b by Caerleon - Fleur Royale (Mill Reef)

Paragua (2008) b by Nayef - Prada (Lagunas), in foal to Rio de la Plata

Quila (1997) ch by Unfuwain – Quest of Fire (Rainbow Quest), in foal to Lando

Quilanga (2001) b by Lomitas – Quebrada (Devil’s Bag)

Royal Dubai (2000) ch by Dashing Blade – Reem Dubai (Nashwan), in foal to New Approach

Salontasche (2000) b by Dashing Blade – Salonrolle (Tirol), in foal to Campanologist

Sarabia (2006) b by One Cool Cat – Siberienne (Kingmambo), filly by Sabiango, 2/5

Wurfspiel (1997) b by Lomitas – Wurfbahn (Frontal), in foal to Sir Percy

The Niarchos family's mares:

Freedonia (Selkirk), winner Prix de Pomone (Gr. II), Gr. I placed in the USA

Fiesolana (Aussie Rules), winner Challenge Stakes (GB-Gr, II)

I'm Sensational (Selkirk), winner out of a successful family from Bloomsbury Stud, in foal to Acclamation

Mimalia (Silver Hawk), half to Epsom Derby (Gr. I) winner Kris Kin (Kris S) and the multiple Black Type winner Unnefer (Danehill Dancer)

Paramita (Galileo), daughter of Champion mare Six Perfections (Celtic Swing), in foal to Exceed and Excel

Remote Romance (Irish River), dam of dual Gr. I winner and sire Saddex (Sadler's Wells)

Solar Midnight (Lemon Drop Kid), list placed, out of the family of sire Titus Livius (Machiavellian) and Briseida (Pivotal), in foal to Pivotal

Hachetal Stud:

Macuna (2003), gr by Acatenango – Midnight Society (Imp Society)

Trona Stud:

Adela (2002), b by Tannenkönig - Adora (Danehill)

Josephine Blanche (2008), gr by Tannenkönig - Jeanine (Neshad)

Röttgen Stud:

Kastila (2003) b by Sternkönig - Kaleica (Cricket Ball), in foal to Nathaniel

Auenquelle Stud:

Aloe (2001) b by Lomitas – Aiyana (Last Tycoon), filly by Areion, 1/20

Röttgen Stud:

Kastila (2003) b by Sternkönig - Kaleica (Cricket Ball), in foal to Nathaniel

The breeding plans of several German studs for this season are yet to be published, so as mentioned before, this list is incomplete. I think Maxios will also be visited by several foreign mares. Apart from Fährhof Stud and Manfred Ostermann, who hold the majority of shares of Maxios, other investors into this sire are: the Niarchos family, Brümmerhof Stud (the home of Danedream), Görlsdorf Stud, Ebbesloh Stud and also Haras de Saint-Pair and Haras de la Perelle, two French studs with German owners (Andreas Putsch, Jürgen Winter).

Apologies if I missed this, but does anyone know who Date With Destiny was bred to this year? Know she had a 2013 filly by Galileo. Pedigree Query says she was barren to Nathaniel for this year.
Thanks in advance...

Medaglia d'Oro has had a few GSW with Thunder Gulch mares. Hopefully the cross is good w/ other El Prado sons.

How could they have possibly gotten a race mare, 2 weeks off the track, to have a normal breedable cycle to be bred? Maidens are hard enough to get cycles going no less a mare with a mixture of drugs from being on the track. I will be curious to hear if she actually gets in foal so soon.

Pretty sure Groupie Doll was in Tapit's court within a week of leaving the track.

Tapit with Egg Drop could be a complete nut case, because mental issues in TBs does get passed down to offspring.

Is Tapit known for having a poor temperament?
