Let me double-post this pick of Improvise(JPN)[2010 black colt. War Emblem(USA) x Cadenza(JPN) by Sunday Silence(USA)] I came across today. This pick was taken as he was working at Miho Training Center last year.
Improvise finished third in a G3 stakes at Nakayama today.
He is a beauty.

Rosa Gigantea(JPN), 2011 black colt. Fuji Kiseki(JPN) x Turfrose(GER) by Big Shuffle(USA), won in the G2 Spring Stakes 1800m turf at Nakayama March 23rd 2014 defeating Juvenile champion colt last year Asia Express(USA).
He will be sent off one of the top favorites in the Japanese 2000 Guineas (Satsuki Sho)(G1) next month.

Rosa Gigantea(JPN) is one of three Kazuo Fujisawa trainees that have been nominated to inaugural runnings of
G1 races on Stars & Stripes Day July 5 at Belmont Park.

After his disappointing tenth finish in the G1 Satsuki Sho, Rosa Gigantea is set to run in the G1 NHK Mile on Sunday.
I hope he will do well this Sunday to stamp himself as a legitimate shipper to the US.

Kazuo Fujisawa trained Casino Drive(USA) some years ago.

I guess that Fujisawa really wants to take his horse to the inaugural Belmont Derby. The trainer might always feel that he left something at Belmont Park. Casino Drive scratched from the Belmont Stakes due to injury in 2008.
Rosa Gigantea was rather impressive in his fast closing 4th place finish coming from dead last and very wide off his stumble at the gate. But I'm not sure if his effort today was convincing enough for his owner as well as for NYRA.
First of all, the Belmont Derby is an invitational race.
The horse has to be selected by NYRA to earn his starting gate.
Fujisawa also wants to take Satono Ferrari (C3 by Deep Impact) and Bounce Shasse (F3 by Zenno Rob Roy) to the Belmont Derby and the Belmont Oaks, respectively, if they are selected.

I watched the NHK Mile last night, and I thought Rosa Gigantea's run was very impressive. He charged from last to come within a head of the winner...the finish had a half-dozen horses in the photo at the finish...so I think his fourth was better than it sounds.
Hopefully, NYRA will want Japanese horses in the field to increase the race's international cred, and the colt, as a Sunday Silence grandson, will give the announcers something to build interest with the audience. Also doesn't hurt that the horse is big and gorgeous.

It sounds like Fujisawa gave up the idea of sending his horses to the Stars & Stripes Day at Belmont this year.
What a shame.

I can't find a 2013 foal for her, so unless she had one this year, she has not. Planet Five might be black but is registered as dark bay. http://www.touchstonefarm.com.au/stallion.php?id=74

I had heard Songster got one mare in foal but I can't find anything. The Bloodhorse article about him being infertile and returning to racing said "None of the approximate 60 mares Songster covered are in foal."

Robe Tissage(JPN), 2010 black filly. War Emblem(USA) x Petit Noire(JPN) by Singspiel(IRE), wins the G3 Keeneland Cup 1200m turf at Sapporo on August 31st.
She was the champion juvenile filly in 2012.

I noticed this one today, too. I wanted to look him up, but couldn't remember the spelling

Air sure looks black.

I remember one at Indiana Downs who looked black; didn't catch his name but in direct sunlight was jet black with no brown on muzzle. There were no registered blacks running on the card that day.

Gigli, a former Frankel runner, is black. He is now headed for a division of Old Friends called Cabin Creek. Barbara Livingston posted a picture of him on her FB wall.
