Coolmore made a video to promote American Pharoah called "Horse of a Lifetime"

Made me a little emotional, but I'm posting here since people are talking about his potential as a sire. Seems like many, including old timers are convinced he has a lot to make a successful sire. Baffert even mentions his conformation/mechanics.
I watched that earlier today....it is very nice.

I just hope he's able to overcome his female family as a sire as well as he did as a runner. If there was an area to fault and that might hold him back as a sire that's what I'd blame.

New pic of A.P. Indy.
I'm just going to post the link to the pic, since when I tried to share it on here it was massively huge.

This made my day. What a happy horse! :-) Wearing his old man sweater with some mud, no big deal.

There's a video on the Smarty Jones FB page of his first turnout at Calumet Farm. And look at the size of his new stall.

Did Smarty get one of their extra-large foaling stalls to call his own?

He must be in the original stallion barn that's attached to the main office. Those stalls are huge. I wonder who has the dubious honor of being in Alydar's old stall of death.

There's a lot to like about Honor Code. I think I like his looks. I know it sounds odd, but I saw him in person when he shared a barn with some of our horses, and he didn't jump out to me looks-wise. But in a lot of photos, he looks very handsome. I'd have to look at him again in person to know which way I lean. But given he's at Calumet, it's unlikely that I'll go out to see him.

I like the pedigree. He's accomplished enough to like the talent level.

What I don't like is his lack of speed. I don't like deep closers as sires. I think this alone would keep me from breeding to him until such time as he proves me wrong and he's a hit at stud.

Yes, Honor Code is standing at Lane's End. And here's another addition to the roster.

G1 winner Mr. Speaker has been retired from racing and will stand stud at Lane’s End for the 2016, the farm announces. Will stand for $10K.

Mr. Speaker is by Pulpit out of the Unbridled mare, Salute, a daughter of champion Personal Ensign.

Isn't Mr Speaker a Phipps horse?..a bit surprising that he wasn't retired to Claiborne

I figured he would be at Claiborne, but the Phippses have a relationship with Lane's End, too. He isn't the first stallion prospect they've sold, either. Point of Entry is at Adena Springs, for one.
