A Raving Beauty? Wasn't she sold to Japan?

Japanese connections bought her and Zipessa, but they have been known to breed mares to US stallions before shipping them to Japan. Neither mare has been exported so far.

Wow, nice list of mares. A lot of them had been going to War Front. So now I wonder who's going to him...

Coolmore has sent a lot of G1-winning/producing mares to Justify - they're really going all in to support their TC-winning (and very pricey) young stallion.
Do you think this gamble is going to pay off? I'm pretty sure they heavily supported American Pharoah, as well, but I always thought that that AP was the whole beautifully-balanced package. Justify? Not quite perfect, IMHO.

I feel like what Justify lacks in soundness and being 'beautifully balanced', he makes up in the whole being by Scat Daddy thing. Pioneerof the Nile was a great horse and stallion, but Scat Daddy throws G1 winners over 5f on turf in England or 12f on dirt in America.

I wonder how many of Coolmore's Galileo mares are going to No Nay Never this year. They threw a lot of support behind American Pharoah and Justify, but they don't ever seem to support their young Irish stallions as much.
All of their best racemares and big broodmare purchases that aren't immediately inbred to Galileo/Sadler's Wells go to Galileo, and so many of their young stallions are by Galileo, so they don't really get any of the priority mares. So the best Galileo mares go to established stallions like Deep Impact or War Front, or, as of late, to kickstart the careers of Triple Crown winners.

When you see Ballydoyle trainees by No Nay Never, Australia, Camelot, or any of their younger stallions, they are almost always bred by other outfits and purchased as yearlings. And if they don't come out of the gate flying, they're off to Russia (Henrythenavigator), South Africa (Duke of Marmalade), France, then back to Ireland as a NH stallion (Pour Moi), etc.

Came out of the BC Juvenile Fillies with a left front ankle injury and never raced again. Was given time off to heal, but upon return to training, ankle very quickly started flaring up again and decision was made to retire her and breed her to Medaglia d'Oro.

Cesario(JPN) —> Lord Kanaloa(JPN) (in foal) :D :D :D

The great mare was barren to the same sire last year.

She did, and foaled a colt that died 3 days later. I guess they didn't want to take chances on a third try.

Those were freak things, though. I think it would be a shame if they didn't try again. Having a foal die in a paddock accident and another die from meconium aspiration is just bad luck.

So was I, but the foal she had this year is nice and I don't blame them for going a more commercial route.

A few posters on The Bloodhorse magazine have said she is going to Candy Ride.
This is the mating I would do at least one time if she was ours. He isn't going to get War Front or Tapit level commercial numbers, but imo simply throws stone cold runners.
