Saw that one coming from a mile away!

Also, apparently Adena Springs' stallions Alphabet Soup and Touch Gold have been pensioned and will be sent to Old Friends. Haven't seen an official release though.
Isn't Touch Gold a bit of a savage?
I love love love Alphabet Soup!

Not sure about Touch Gold, I know Seeking The Gold is though. Maybe thinking of him?

I have seen both in person, and Touch Gold was pretty docile if I remember correctly, Alphabet Soup not so much.

Awesome news about Alphabet Soup and Touch Gold.

Maybe Silver Charm and Touch Gold can relive some of their glory days in the paddocks at Old Friends. ;)

Court Vision, Victor's Cry --> Spendthrift Farm in KY for 2016

Court Vision is the leading Canadian Freshman sire and second in NA only to Uncle Mo in number of 2015 stakes horses (4).
Once upon a time there was a horse named Kelso.

I am thrilled for Court Vision. I always thought he deserved to start in KY.

Canada's loss! Both very good stallions.

Fabulous news about Touch Gold and Alphabet Soup!! It will be quite cute if they can get Charm and Gold near each other to explain how Gold denied Charm!! He is a bit of a jerk, or was about 10 years ago when he was still at Adena. Definitely not a puppy dog to play with. Soup was probably the most stunning animal I'd ever seen in person (ok, until I got into Lanes End and saw Curlin. Hubba hubba). He just glistened with muscle even after being retired for a few years and was something to behold.

This! Very glad to hear of the move :D

And anyone in Lexington the weekend before BC can go see his full brother compete at the Horse Park in the TB Trainer Makeover show. King's Vision is really good looking, too

Same. And if he can make a mark in Canada, with less quality mares, then I think he's going to do swell in KY. Can't wait! Our loss, though, as he was throwing some nice babies.

Agreed on Court Vision. Really kind of stunning that a horse with his race record and pedigree didn't start in Kentucky. If he wasn't a super promising sire prospect, I don't know who would be.

I think he didn't start in Kentucky because he is by Gulch and his sons really haven't been that hot as stallions. Yes Thunder Gulch was leading sire in 2001 but that was based solely on Point Given and he had no other standout years. But since he is off to a good start, he just may be the one to continue the Gulch line.

I've also read that because of the issue in Ontario and slots/purses (?), both stallions covered half the mares they had in their first few years. Not going to get better with that, and they are both doing so well. It's a good move.

They said maybe 400 mares bred in Ontario in 2015, if you go back to 2010 the number was 1500.

I still haven't found an official release re. Touch Gold and Alphabet Soup, but I found the TVG segment where Michael Blowen mentions them. It's overall a great segment, but Adena Springs is mentioned specifically at around 4:50

From DRF: Grade 1 winner Golden Ticket will begin his stud career next year at Questroyal North in Stillwater, N.Y. The son of Speightstown will stand for $7,500.

I honestly thought this colt had been retired for a while.
