Oh poor Pharaoh. He really is a useful sire, he just isn't particularly useful for America's breeding demographic.

I doubt coolmore is going to let one of only 2 living triple crown winners go to Japan.othybat_99 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 3:45 pmIf his crops don't improve, where could he move to? Uh oh American Pharoah... I hope he gets more better runners
Not optimistic about his future crops.
If anything there’s more chance they move him down to Australia full time where he’s getting G-1s winners down there.

Don't hold your breath on that, Magnier will have final say and 250+ mares bred and the corrosponding stud fees will no doubt trump keeping him running another year. What if he went another 4 or 5 races without a win? That's not gonna increase his stud fee....

If they were planning on retiring him, you would hope that they would include him in the roster they specifically waited until after the Breeder’s Cup to release. Is there still time for him to stub a toe and require 4 weeks off therefore he won’t be ready for the 2025 Breeder’s Cup? Of course.
No one is more surprised by the not immediate retirement than me. Again, Auguste Rodin has not increased his value by racing at four, so I couldn’t blame them for taking the easy option.
It just seems like if they had planned on retiring him, today wouldve been the day to announce it.

i like to think we wouldn't send one of two living TC winners, and the first of them at that, out of the country.othybat_99 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 04, 2024 3:45 pmIf his crops don't improve, where could he move to? edit; not that he was on the same level exactly, but i didnt think california chrome would leave either, and they couldn't sell him fast enough.

Anyone know when Ten Sovereigns is heading? Havent heard anything.
Reasonable fees for Auguste Rodin and City of Troy, in my opinion
Huge drop for Paddington after one covering season.
Big enough bump for Little Big Bear who also has only been standing for one season.
Anyone with a Weatherbys subscription know what size books they covered?

I'm seeing a few people on Twitter say that Ten Sovereigns is bound for Turkey. He has a profile on the Turkish website, but I'm unfamiliar with the site for the most part so I don't know if he could have one without being in Turkey.Northport wrote: ↑Tue Nov 05, 2024 2:34 pm Anyone know when Ten Sovereigns is heading? American Pharoah once stood stud for $200k. To see him dip that low is totally deja vu to how Fusaichi Pegasus did for their farm. I wouldn't be surprised, if he goes the same route. I think FuPeg was at $150k and went down to $7,500 before he passed.
I wanna do bad things with you.

Ten Sovereigns did shuttled down to New Zealand for only one season at Valachi Downs but then the stud owner decided to sell the stud farm.If he is coming back to NZ I wonder what stud farm will have him.Nenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 06, 2024 2:15 amhttps://x.com/crangleross/status/185392 ... But it’s hard to trust what people say on X/twitter, some people are saying Turkey while others are saying New Zealand,so it might have to be a wait and see where he turns up.

Aga Khan fees
Erevann: €8,000 (same)
Sea The Stars: €250,000 (€200,000)
Siyouni: €200,000 (€150,000)
Vadeni: €18,000 (same)
Zarak: €80,000 (€60,000)
Considering that Sea the Stars entered stud in 2010 for €85,000, it is kind of wild that his fee has never been cut once.
