Pleased to announce that G1 winner Overanalyze will be joining our 2014 stallion roster! He will stand for 10k #dreambig #breedwinstar

Isn'yWinstar's barn full? I know they are using another barn to accompany some of their stallions. Guessing one or two is getting booted elsewhere?

I thought that they just moved into a new stallion barn last year- and the old one will be a foaling barn- from my understanding.

They may just start doubling them up in stalls. ;)

Pure Prize was a solid stallion, although crooked up front. I wonder why they wrote him off.

I don't know, either.

Like they say in the Nascar circles, the silly season is in full swing- lots of movement and surprises.

I wonder why Take Charge Indy isn't on WinStar's stallions? They already have Overanalyze listed.

Yeah, you are right. Was it every posted what the stud fee would be- perhaps they are still working that out? BTW- he loves bananas apparently!

I wondered that too, unless they're making sure he's completely healed for duties first?

Is it possible that TCI may not be able to stand in 2014, due to his injury?

Could very well be the case.

I guess it could be. The last update I read made it sound like he was healed. I'm just pretty sure he was advertised as standing there in 2014, this whole year and in Bloodhorse's stallion directory as well.

Journeyman released 2014 stud fees, including their two new stallions:
Winslow Homer, $5000
Brethren, $6000

They dropped Circular Quay to $2500, but I also saw him listed in the Keeneland November sale.

Sigh, yet another what could have been a decent handicap horse retired early at 3. At least his fee seems reasonable, it's not absurdly high. I guess they thought he wouldn't be able to recover from his ankle injury? Bummer.

Yeah, I would have loved to see Oxbow run as a four-year-old, and I think that was the original plan for him. However, soft tissue injuries (the 'wrenched' ankle?) can be hard to heal completely...at least, in time for him to start training for the coming spring.
Guess I'd rather see him retired than come back...and run at less than his best. I don't need to see another I Want Revenge.

True. I had hoped that with his full brother retired as well, and seeing as how it was a wrenched ankle (not a fracture, or a bowed tendon), he would've been given time to see if that was a viable option. Oh well, good luck to him in his new career though :)
