New pic of Zenyatta racing other mares in a paddock. Same pic, linked to Facebook and Instagram, couldn't find on X.
It looks like she has hospital plates on, or at least the one I can see the bottom of.

He has grown to look a lot like his mom. And of course Ann was there to greet him! "Here's your mom."Akitaperson wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 6:57 am Comic One is now at Old Friends

I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I would have him rather end up at KHP.
I wanna do bad things with you.

He’s beautiful! I’m so glad that he’s found a forever home -though I’m sorry a leg injury prevented him from continuing his show jumping careerAkitaperson wrote: ↑Wed Oct 02, 2024 6:57 am Comic One is now at Old Friends

I was just thinking about that the other day after hearing that Big Brown was going to Old Friends. I believe that 'Brown is the 5th Derby winner to call Old Friends home, and notably, all 5 of those Derby winners also won the Preakness. (They are Charismatic, Silver Charm, War Emblem, I'll Have Another, and now Big Brown. I've counted 4 Belmont winners to live at Old Friends in Ruler On Ice, Sarava, Birdstone, and Touch Gold......can't think of any more. But those 9 horses alone account for 14 Triple Crown races, and those are just the ones I remember for sure and may not include a couple or more that I don't remember or didn't know about.
My point is that Old Friends may be the at least one-time home of more Triple Crown race winners than the Kentucky Horse Park. The KHP did have Bold Forbes, Alysheba, and Funny Cide just to name 3 off the top of my head, and there's probably more that escape me. But it seems clear that, at least in terms of the Triple Crown, Old Friends HAS "taken the shine" off the KHP at least a little bit.
By the way, I could have sworn that Go For Gin lived at Old Friends as well, (that would have made 6 Derby winners), but when I looked him up, the search result I looked at said that he died at the KHP, so I guess I was wrong on that one.

Pleasant Colony used to be at the Horse Park.
