For a top sprinter, Runhappy's hindquarters are a bit unimpressive. Vancouver's, on the other hand, look plenty powerful.
Vancouver is handsome, which I expect from MdO's offspring, and his legs look to have some good bone. Even though he raced exclusively on turf Down Under, I suspect that he's going to be well-supported here. Because speed. :P

Now, that's a sprinter's butt.
In fact, if I were Doc Allred, I might think about sending him a couple of my QH mares. ;)

He's gorgeous...prettier than any Giant's Causeway I can think of, but...
Are his front legs really that thin...or did someone get carried away with Photoshop again? ;) :P

The horse is absolutely beautiful, no question. I saw him on Monday. I think his legs look normal for a recently retired racehorse who isn't even 3 full years old.

It IS a bit weird how, in the ad, he appears to be hovering over the safe pavers. I think the photo was probably taken right where he appears to be standing/hovering, so I don't know what's going on with that.

Here is my own photo. He is not stood up perfectly, but he looks mostly the same as in the ad.

Re: Not This Time
I think it's just bad photoshop. They likely put a filter over the entire picture then erased it over the horse to make him stand out against the background, but it gives that weird hovering effect and my guess is that they didn't reach 'wide' enough over the legs when erasing.
He looks lovely.

Still bummed about Not This Time retiring, but he is a lovely looking individual.

Re: Not This Time

The Storm Cat is strong in him, reminds me much more of many young photos of other direct SC sons more so than his own sire GC. A little leggier and racier.....but I think as he ages and fills out it'll show even more in him.

Glad to see Will Take Charge looking well; I always liked him. I've heard he really stamps his foals so I will have to keep an eye out for photos of his kids.

Taylor Made is assembling an interesting stallion line-up, which will range from a world-class horse who raced into his 6th year ('Chrome) to this promising, elegant youngster who had to be retired before the end of his 2yo year.
They also have Protonico, another Giant's Causeway, but one who ran through his fifth year, and the versatile Mshawish, G1 winner on dirt and turf.

I like the mix, which, aside from Not This Time, are horses who have proven themselves for more than one or two years of racing.

Lots of pics there - Ironicus, Shackleford, Dialed In, Tapit, Empire Maker, Lord Nelson... and a very muddy Runhappy looking pretty Happy!

Here is another very nice pic of Not This Time - more reminiscent of the magazine pic but without the floating feet
