It’s really difficult to make any educated judgement only viewing the work online. Painting especially, doesn’t translate well into pixels. From a technical aspect, I’d like to see how the paint is handled, what kind of medium is used. Too much turpentine can make the finished product chalky. Also what type of white is used. Lead based whites are best. Titanium and Zinc whites have inherent problems in both the longevity and appearance of the work. Judging the overall drawing is easier. She definitely has the ability of an above average draughtsman, although I would add there is probably some mechanical aid to the drawing. The latter is not meant to diminish it, just an observation.

Curious- how can you tell there is likely mechanical aid to the drawing, and what types of aids? Thanks

I'm going to take a guess based on my graphics background. There is equipment that can project a photo onto a surface. You can trace the photo onto paper/canvas, which makes the image accurate...if the photo doesn't have any distortion in it.
The problem with that is that our eyes/brains don't see things exactly the way a camera does. My portrait artist mother always made her subjects a bit taller than they were in real life, because that made them look normal to the eye. 8-)

Thanks! Is that part of “ the camera adds 10 lbs”- maybe not a myth?

Last year’s Irish Oaks winner, Even So (by Camelot) has been sold by Coolmore to Japan to be a broodmare

Doesn’t list who in Japan, but I would assume the last name is Yoshida.
