Kelso. It's probably the bit and the dark brown head, but yeah. Boy are we showing our age. I think he looks calm and well behaved, no surprise.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Man, Life Is Sweet is huge herself. Wonder if she'll foal before Zen.

Life is Sweet foaled 19 days after Zenyatta last year so she's not even due until the end of April. She probably could go anytime now as well though.

Not sure if it's just the way that she is standing in that Tweeted photo- but to me, looks like the foal has to come back a bit more. Are the comments getting crazier than normal? I know sometimes that they can be a bit bizarre- so I chose not to read them- and I would think as the birth gets closer, more so.

Comments on facebook are the typical 'Poor thing, she deserves time off to just be a horse" stuff. I laid into one person who called the Mosses "money hungry" by pointing out that the care of Zenyatta and her foals, not to mention training fees, etc., actually costs them more money than they may make back if the foals hit the track. I wish some people would just learn a little bit about the industry first before posting!

Since she had her last foal on her birthday, maybe she'll have this foal during the lunar eclipse (time info from earthsky.org):

Partial umbral eclipse begins: 1:58 a.m. EDT on April 15
Total eclipse begins: 3:07 a.m. EDT
Greatest eclipse: 3:46 a.m. EDT
Total eclipse ends: 4:25 a.m. EDT
Partial eclipse ends: 5:33 a.m. EDT

I'd go with that 8-)

An Eclipse for our times. . .but I don't even want to think what kind of name they'd come up with if the foal was born during an eclipse!

Zclipse would be fine with me and would be a nice colt OR filly name. :)

The "obvious" name was Tap Dancer, but that was probably taken--and I like Ziconic too. I think.

It's better than Cozmic One, but that isn't saying much. Not sure I would want to have to name a horse of such popular stature because it would never seem "good enough" ... At least he isn't Zennie's Prince or Cozmic Too.

I think we probably had a narrow escape of "Cozmic Too."
