Brazilian Jackson Pollock (Kodiak Kowboy x G2W Notting Tomorrow, by Aragorn) won the G1 Brazilian Jockey Club. He is registered as "chestnut" and both his parents are registered as "bay." He has red highlights in his mane and tail, so he might just be the world's darkest chestnut not named Skipshot.

He looks like a really dark chestnut at least in that light.Mylute wrote: ↑Fri Aug 21, 2020 10:28 am Brazilian Jackson Pollock (Kodiak Kowboy x G2W Notting Tomorrow, by Aragorn) won the G1 Brazilian Jockey Club. The Australian studbook website does not give an "unnamed produce" section on Lilac in Style, but non-members can't access named produced. What has the roan Holy Roman Emperor/Lilac in Style filly been named?

Wow, I'm glad she ended up with a pretty cool name instead of something like "Our Pink Girl" or something.

The filly unfortunately carrying on the fortunes of most 'coloured' TBs. Even with a racing sire, it seems hard to overcome the non runner damline.RugbyGirl wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 3:45 am Faintly Macabre is in training with Bevan Johnson in Queensland and trialled at the end of July which you can find here (I hope) https://www.racingqueensland.com.au/rac ... bre-360428

Ran like a QH, for about 440 yards. No gas left after that, dead last.

Sodashi(JPN), 2018F. Kurofune(USA) x Buchiko(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN), made history!
The 2yo filly became the first white thoroughbred to win a group/grade stakes on the turf in the world**, as she maintained her unbeaten record capturing the G3 Sapporo Nisai Stakes 1800m turf in 2yo course record.

Maybe they should move her to the US and run her in QH races. That'd definitely be interesting.Retrospectiv wrote: ↑Thu Sep 03, 2020 5:43 pmThe filly unfortunately carrying on the fortunes of most 'coloured' TBs. Sodashi's groom Takatoshi Imanami looked very happy.
Takatoshi Imanami used to have Gold Ship and his babies came in 2nd, 4th and 5th to Sodashi in this grade stakes.
He said: ''I'm always cheering for Gold Ship and hoping his big success at stud. But I have to make Sodashi victorious in the first place.''
Naosuke Sugai, Sodashi's trainer, had Gold Ship, too.

The Shirayukihime family has been represented by two individual grade stakes winners this weekend.
After Sodashi(JPN)[2018 white filly. Kurofune(USA) x Buchiko(JPN)(white) by King Kamehameha(JPN)] won the G3 Sapporo Nisai Stakes on Satuday, Meikei Yell(JPN)[2018 bay filly. Mikki Isle(JPN) x Shiroingher(JPN)(white) by Harbinger(GB)] won the G3 Kokura Nisai Stakes 1200m turf on Sunday.
Meikei Yell became the third grade stakes winner (following Hayayakko, Sodashi) and the fourth stakes winner (following Yukichan, Hayayakko and Sodashi) for the Shirayukihime familly.
Shirayukihime is the dam of Yukichan, the second dam of Hayayakko and Sodashi, and the third dam of Meikei Yell.

El Del Medio b.2017 (Aspire x Medianera Ku, by Kusamba) has a huge white blaze with four tall white socks. The Argentine won what I believe is her debut race and her name translates to "The Middle One." Video of her in the link.
