Thanks. The race caller says he's gray. At a glance I'd have agreed.

Thanks for finding the photo--he's even more bizarre looking than I could tell on television! I did look up his pedigree and even I recognized Airdrie Apache as the "culprit." Too bad he can't run (I think this was his career debut at 4).
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

I don't know what to think of him, because I'm not usually a fan of horses who are bred solely for color. I feel that any horse that was a produce of Airdrie Apache or his sons/daughters was bred solely for color. However, he has a decent racing pedigree further back. Airdrie Apache wasn't bred to be colored. Allamystique was but he still had a decent pedigree being a descendant of Anne Campbell. Full Moon Rising's dam line is Darby Dan starting at his 2nd dam and produced some really nice horses too, including Chateaugay, Little Current, Primonetta, etc. His broodmare sire Nicholas, stood at Calumet for awhile, and while he wasn't a great sire, he is the broodmare sire of MG1 Switch. So while he is colored, he doesn't have a completely no name non-racing pedigree so that makes him interesting to me.

They're all precious, but I especially like the bottom one that has the blaze with the curl at the top. His mom has a nice face too.

The dam St. Lawrence won half her starts (12/24), though no graded or listed stakes. Looks like she also has a yearling colt by Dunkirk and a turning-two year old filly by Creator - both are listed as chestnut but you have to wonder if they will grey out.

Thank you, Tachyon; for the Talismanic foal pictures. He's a favorite of mine and I love seeing all the white faces and feet.

G3W Phantom Boss (Shackleford x Bossy Belle, by Street Boss) is returning in the Echo Eddie Stakes this weekend. He is named "Phantom" because he is wearing a Phantom of the Opera mask of course.

Monja (Songandaprayer) just ran a huge second at 25-1 at Tampa Bay Downs. She looks like a dark chestnut with a lot of splash.

Kinda Lucky (Lookin At Lucky) is racing in the upcoming seventh at Churchill. She's a flashy chestnut with white/pale palomino color at the top of her tail.

Here's Swissle Stick (Swiss Yodeler x Miss Soft Sell, by Siyah Kalem). He is registered with the AQHA and the APHA, as well as the Jockey Club. He is a half-brother to Brother Derek, Don'tsellmeshort, etc. This is the only picture I can find of him. His PQ page is out of date but locked for editing.

Photo from when she broke her maiden in 2019. Not dark but still splashy.

German-bred Madita (Soldier Hollow x Manita, by Peintre Celebre) won Race 7 at Belmont impressively. She is a very very dark reddish-gray. She was listed on PQ as a "bay." I found this photo of her.
