He seems very nicely balanced, except for that right fore...? Is he just shifting weight, or...?tachyon wrote:Tavistock(NZ) (Montjeu)

A nice lookin' racehorse.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

He looks great.
Can't say the same thing about Carpe Diem. I can't put my finger on any one specific flaw, but he's just not pleasing to my eye.

Glad you said that. I've been trying to figure out what bothers me about him. Not that I'd send him away if he was in my pasture.

Pharoah has more bone to him than I was expecting... Or compared to the sorts you see now. He's just overall well or together - not a hubba-hubba hunk but nothing to pick on.

Pharoah is gorgeous. Wish I could see his hooves though.

Add me to the list that thought Carpe Diem was disappointing--I saw the long back and he just doesn't look well put together. But he could still run, so. . .AP is still a plain package but a pleasing one.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

To my eye; Carpe Diem appears tense in the front end - as in his triceps muscles look funky compared to the way the rest of him is resting in "space". The image has been enhanced to the point that his lower limbs all appear to be on the same plane ( the shadow on the offside limbs is wrong and all have been 'shopped sharp). Looking at other images of him I think it's mostly just this photo. AP is functionally handsome; I would also like to see his feet but again I'm drawn to the substance of his lower limbs and I think this is intentional by the editing. Makes me want the contact number for their lawn care specialist
