I was hoping to see more of him but I'll happily wish him well. I was hoping he'd find a regional program somewhere. I was just hoping it'd be laterMylute wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 2:59 pm G3W Petulante (Arrogate × Auntjenn, by Uncle Mo) will enter stud next year in New York.

Cherie Devaux was on Steve Byk’s show earlier this week and made it sounds like once they sorted out his brain scramblies, he would be a really good horse. I guess they went for option B instead. Im sure enough folks will be interested in him for $6500.

Little photoshopped pic to start. I think he'll be more than popular enough at that price given his pedigreeMylute wrote: ↑Wed Oct 30, 2024 3:46 pm Justify's SW 1/2 brother Stage Raider (by POTN) has been retired to Crestwood farm in Kentucky.

Interesting. I hope he stays in the states for the time being, but we can't guarantee it

Ghostzapper has arrived safely in Ontario. In addition to Frank Stronach wanting him close to home, GZ had also been having a hard time with the heat of Kentucky Summers. Because of that, Adena North will be his final home. (Won’t be going to Old Friends or Adena South once he is done breeding)

Ontario summers are hot (and humid). Heck, it's currently 23°C (feels 27°C with the humidity - about 80°F) today!Northport wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 11:32 am Ghostzapper has arrived safely in Ontario. I know, I grew up 10 minutes from Adena North. Our summers are definitely hot, but they are not Kentucky or Florida hot. And this autumn has just been crazy! When I visited Hill n Dale last Summer, they had an industrial AC unit in front of Ghostzapper’s stall. Not a fan, an AC unit.Bold Carma wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 2:50 pmOntario summers are hot (and humid). I've regularly checked the internet for stuff since about August and have seen nothing. I was expecting a stud deal - my guess was out of California - by now. Hope he's alright.

Thanks! Yeah I was pretty sure there wasn't any news but I was without a computer for a week+ a couple weeks back and I just didnt pay as much attention during that time. It almost makes me think that they are going to try and bring him back?Nenikikamen23 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 6:13 pmI've regularly checked the internet for stuff since about August and have seen nothing. The older male division isn't going to be very strong, especially out in California. Bring him back to get a G1 win out there to boost his stud value?Flanders wrote: ↑Thu Oct 31, 2024 6:37 pmThanks! Havana Grey doesn’t like ramps. From today’s RP Good Morning Bloodstock:TapitsGal wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 1:42 pm https://www.thoroughbreddailynews.com/h ... hbq4AGKz1Q
Havana grey will have his book restricted to mares of a certain height
But what about the ramp? That’s what all the horsemen and women reading that will no doubt be shouting into the screen. The ramp will surely sort it!
“We hear that regularly,” says Callan with a sigh. “We’ve tried three different ones with different surfaces, including one with coconut matting, and he just doesn’t like any of them. He isn’t steady, and he definitely isn’t happy.
“However, when he is given a mare who is 16hh or smaller, there’s no problem at all: the cover is quick and easy. The mare doesn’t need to return, so there’s a benefit to the breeder, and the horse himself is content and sound, which is important.
