I wonder if this is a pedigree chart to remember.
Everything started from the mating between Sunday Silence(USA) and the Topsider(USA) bay mare Wave Wind(USA), which produced an unexpected white filly named Shirayukihime(JPN) in 1996.
Sodashi(JPN), 2018F. Kurofune(USA) x Buchiko(JPN) by King Kamehameha(JPN), became the first white thoroughbred in history to win a grade/group 1 race worldwide when she captured the G1 Hanshin Juvenile Fillies 1600m turf at Hanshin on Dec 13th 2020!!!!

Three-time G1 winner Admire Mars(JPN) has been retired from racing after finishing 3rd in the G1 Hong Kong Mile last week.tachyon wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 8:39 am Admire Mars(JPN), 2016C. Daiwa Major(JPN) x Via Medici(IRE) by Medicean(GB), captured his 3rd G1 title under Christophe Soumillon in the Hong Kong Mile 1600m turf at Sha Tin on Dec 8th 2019 becoming the first 3yo to win this event.
-- from japanracing jp.and his connections were very emotional..The victory was an emotional one for Admire Mar’s connections. Owner Riichi Kondo had passed away only three weeks ago and, in the presentation ceremony at Sha Tin, his wife held a photo of the flamboyant owner who had given Japan many champions but had yet to win at Hong Kong. Tomomichi wore a suit that had belonged to Kondo and had been refitted for the trainer to wear on this special occasion. He also sported the very tie Kondo had worn for Admire Mar’s win of the Grade 1 Asahi Hai last year.

Another good news for Stay Gold fans is that Orfevre is regaining his popularity as a stallion lately and already listed ''book full'' for 2021 breeding season.
And Gold Ship is doing very well, too.

I love stories like that. Very cool confluence of genetics.

Me too, thank you for posting that!
Years from now I feel like this is another race they'll be writing about in similar fashion.

Its always really fun to go back and pick a f/m stakes race and see what they have done. Its quite interesting the number of nice producers that come out of the graded/group stakes.Calypso wrote: ↑Fri Feb 12, 2021 9:55 pm Me too, thank you for posting that!

Such a tremendous loss for the breeding industry; Cesario could churn out excellent racehorses and sires like nobody's business.
But I will remember her most for her exploits on the racetrack; as "The Japanese whirlwind, Cesario!"

Looking at all those wonderful photos, it suddenly struck me that Cesario reminded me so much of another great filly: RUFFIAN.
Both tall, black, small white star, and talented as hell. Check out these photos:

Sadly, Ruffian never got a chance to pass on her greatness to her foals.

Thank you very much for sharing.
Ruffian was in a class of her own.
