Is there any indication on whether they intend to keep him in training next year? Or should we assume that’s dependent on his Dirt Mile performance?

Usually this means they're retiring ASAP but not always.
I havent seen anything. They just said "The son of Good Magic will stand at the Lexington farm upon his retirement from racing."

3xG1W Militarize (Dundeel × Amerindia) may be gelded and return to racing after displaying poor fertility after entering stud this season in Australia.

The following stallions entered stud this past season or last year in India:

G3W Policy of Truth (Siyouni × Dawn to Dance, by Selkirk) at Equus Stud. His dam is ½ to G1W stallion Namid.

MSW Satono Impresa (Deep Impact × Sahpresa, by Sahm) at Poonawalla Stud Farm last year. He is o/o G1W Sahpresa who also hit the board in 5 other G1s.

There is a rumor that Native Dancer’s ghost haunts Churchill Downs, fitting considering that it was the only place he lost a race.

Tapit Trice, Muth, Seize the Grey, Charge It, etc. to Gainesway soon, hopefully not all in 2025 but still. As much as I hate to say it Tapwrit's gotta be going soon, right? I can see Spun to Run moving to a regional or South American market soon

They're going to have the corner on grey stallions. Sheesh. I forgot about Tapit Trice and Charge It.

I don't understand how he hasn't been sold already. His oldest foals are 4 and he hasn't had a GSW. Only has 5 SWs, 3 of which I view as essentially state-bred SW. His best, Victory Formation, who I forgot completely about, is probably retired. Hasn't raced in 2024, hasn't worked since very early in the year, he's been gelded and his cert. isn't with Spendthrift or Frank Fletcher.

Gainesway is the farm that back in the early 80s had an even bigger roster than Spendthrift(they also changed ownership). Though I'd have to imagine they repurposed the stalls over the years. Who needs like 50 stallion stalls?

I wonder with all these new stallions heading for Gainsway if Tapit will be pensioned soon

I feel like that has to be an exaggeration if they are now ruling out large mares. I know most breeding sheds have a raised “bump” for the shorter guys to stand on, how small does a fella have to be for that to still not work.

Northern Dancer had a “pitcher’s mound” in the shed for larger mares (which were most of them for him).

Just saw that Champ de Mars, the first son of Arrogate to go to stud, bred three mares in Japan in 2023 but it yielded no foals. Wonder what his fertility rates for this season will end up being, not a good start either way

G1W Metropolitan (Zarak × Alianza, by Halling) will enter stud next year at Haras d'Etreham in France. He won the French Two Thousand Guineas and placed in the St. James Palace (G1) and Prix Jacques le Marois (G1). Family of Canadian Champion Summer Mood and MGSW Present Value.

Winner Corporal (Gun Runner × Kathballu, by Bluegrass Cat) will enter stud next year at Dehesa Farms in California. He recently posted a workout at Turfway Park, so who knows. Dam is a MSW, a full-sister to a G2W, and from the family of G1W Friendly Michelle.

From what I've read, the mound was later. When he first went to stud at Windfields, they just dug a pit for taller mares.

Maybe its more than the height thing. Maybe they don't like what the foals look like out of tall mares? I know that is a shocking thought that someone in the industry actually gives a crap about conformation but it could be the exceptionally rare case here.
