I know they need to raise money, and this auction is a big fund raiser for them, but really? You have to use shill bidders to get every dollar you can?
I had bid on a season, and I was watching it til the end. I thought I had it won, but with 20 seconds left, a bid came in that was $100 higher than mine, the new bidders name was up there. So I figured I was outbid, and that was that.
Next thing you know, I get an email that Im the winning bidder. Really? Did you think your shill bidder wouldnt get caught?
Ill never buy a season from them again.

The TCA charities you mean? They had some pretty nice seasons up for bid, too. It does make me mad if they are driving up the cost of the seasons....I assume that happens at most auctions, though. Still makes me sad for you. Hopefully you get a cracker of a foal out of the breeding if you use it!

A reasonable deal, not a great deal. It would have been a great deal had I not been bidding against the house. I dont mind bidding against the house, per se. What I do mind, and why i wont ever deal with them again, is that they bid until they overbid me, and then retracted their bid. Thats the issue.

I understand, and I could see telling them that I wasn't the winning bidder, so sorry, guys.... on principle.halo wrote:A reasonable deal, not a great deal.
