SEA THE STARS, whose first crop includes impressive Oaks winner Taghrooda, will cover a limited book of mares to southern hemisphere time from his Gilltown Stud base for a fee of €85,000 this year.
The covering fee will be non-refundable at 45 days gestation, but breeders will be offered €8,500 towards expenses.
Pat Downes, who manages Gilltown Stud for the Aga Khan, said: "There has been considerable interest in Sea The Stars from many southern hemisphere breeders ever since he retired to stud and this is a great opportunity to use a wonderful racehorse with an impeccable pedigree who has made such an outstanding start to his stud career."
Sea The Stars, a Cape Cross half-brother to Galileo who won six top-flight races, has sired five Group winners from two crops of racing age. Taghrooda tops the pile, but he is also responsible for Group 3-winning juvenile My Titania, who was fourth in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
